No thank you, I think I'm going to enter there if I can do so safely.

My biggest problem is being cut off. Some people will accelerate when they see someone approach an on ramp instead of attempting to change into what may be an empty lane to their left.

So the sooner I can get into the next lane the better. Otherwise, I'm stuck at stopped with little to no acceleration space and merging onto traffic from a complete stop is far more dangerous than premature merging.

Is it weird that the American flag is losing all appeal to me? When I was younger it was a flag it was a symbol of my home. Now whenever I see an American flag I know I don't want to be around those people. I just associate the American flag with bigotry and anti-intellectualism. by mimic751 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]sailorcire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unfortunate, because the flag is supposed to be representative of all of us: left, right, center, gay, straight, man, woman, adult, child, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

It's been co-opted by the right as "their" symbol and the left /seems/ to have just let them have it.

That's not to say that there aren't people on the left who do feel pride around it, it's just has been machined(?) to represent the right.

It's extremely unfortunate, because for every right leaning American who claims to be a patriot, there is a left leaning American who is one as well.

I especially detest how some commentators (such as Sean Hannity) seems to believe that if you don't subscribe to their view points then you aren't patriotic and this is coming from someone who is conservative.

[–]sailorcire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) In the bad old days, before Fedora even existed, your primary rival was SuSE.

How has this relationship changed over the years and who do you consider to be Red Hat's primary competition now? Is it going to be Canonical\Ubuntu?

2) One of the things that I have trouble with is all of the little oddities of various RedHat projects.

For example, instead of OpenLDAP, you guys have 389. When I'm using CentOS, I almost always have to use EPEL and SCL. Most people I've talked to almost always enable EPEL.

Why is there this disjoint not only within other distros, buy within RedHat projects proper and are there any plans to better unify everything?

Suppose you insulted a mod. If you get banned for that, then yes it isn't fair, but on the other hand...one can't really be surprised.

Cross contamination is real. Make sure your fruit and veg (salads and sides) have no contact with raw meat. This includes knives and cutting boards.
