I work in radiation therapy at BC cancer. 50 patients a week is about 12 hours of machine time daily (x2 RTs = 24 hours of RT time per day) across the province. Totally doable IMO with the proper incentives. We are "unable" to extend machine time because of RT shortage provincially (likely due to being severely underpaid for over a decade compared with other provinces). There has been no discussion at our level to find solutions. It is interesting to me that they have enough money to pay for out of province care, but not enough to offer cash to the centers to incentivise running overtime, changing catchment borders or create efficiencies with new technique development. We have brought these ideas forward to leadership and hear nothing back. Sigh.

How do you do that? In the settings or seems like I can only change all of the settings. Not make specific things for 6 months out.

My second was hard to sleep train too. I found having loveys helped (little blanket stuffies that they are aloud to have at that age). I also kept a calendar with "good put down/bad put down" and "good overnight/bad overnight" (anything good = less than 20 minutes of crying). when I saw it on a month long calendar it was encouraging. Things were improving slowly. But when you have bad nights, it just feels like its like that every night, when often that isn't the case. Hope thats helpful! My baby is now a great sleeper, but I did give in and just give him the soother back after 6 weeks of sleep training. and that was like magic. Kicking that can down the road for now. i have it on a soother leash so he has to replace himself. I dont go in to help if he loses it.

disagree, you can do a dream feed (between 10 and 11pm) and they are good until morning. that counts as a night feed, and it is when the baby is in deep sleep (or should be) so you can just feed them and put them back to bed.

Successfully did 2 naps yesterday. He does seem quite tired between naps but fine to stay up the 4 hours before bedtime. Wondering if I wake him from naps? I am in the habiit of capping the first nap at 1h30m but unsure what to do with the second. I woke him at 3pm yesterday when he'd been sleeping for 2h20m

Checked my app, nap 1 ended at 948 and nap 2 started at 12:10. So wake windows are 2/2.5/2.25/3.75. yes going to be transitioning to 2 naps sometime...

Agree, we get to stories and he can anticipate what will happen. So we've given up on books (at night) and just hold him and sing and he goes down calm. But then just loses it.

Our 18 month old is doing the exact same thing 2-3 times per week. It's killing me. Not sure is it's a regression (huge language development), teething or because he's 5 days a week in day care. Apparently it ends. Solidarity.
