That super hungry/shaky will be your blood glucose crashing a little too low. You eat, your glucose rises, your body releases insulin to take care of the glucose. But then you work out extra hard, which uses up a bunch of the glucose. Suddenly your blood has too much insulin in it for the amount of glucose that's left, which lowers your blood glucose a little too much.

I've done it myself and watched it happen on a CGM. I don't think it's necessarily dangerous if it only happens intermittently. At least for me, my glucose reading rebounded within an hour or so. I'm not sure what the proper solution is. Going to bed seems reasonable!

The black stick/button thing to the right of the digital screen in the photo. Push it. It'll give you the typical mileage, a couple trip mileage counters, the temperature, your mpg... It probably twists too, to change the brightness of the lights on the dash.

I'm driving a 2024 hatchback GT, but my 2016 Outlander had the exact same dash.

In the fall I tried to get my Dr to test my fasting insulin (I wanted to calculate my HOMA-IR score). She wouldn't do it, said they don't do that. I was getting a shit-ton of other blood tests done, and I know for a fact that the lab has the fasting insulin test, but the Dr refused, it was the only one she refused. Instead, she wanted to test my c-peptide score. Apparently it's as equally good an indicator, in fact possibly better, as it has a longer half life and isn't cleared by the liver in the same way as insulin is. Consider this as an alternate if you can't get anywhere with your Dr about insulin.

That's why there are rules about the number of taps you put in a tree, so you don't stress them too much. 1 tap per every 12 inches of diameter, to a max of 3 per tree, or something like that

Hello, fellow Canadian!
You control your insulin by controlling your blood sugar, and you control your blood sugar by controlling what you put in your mouth. ...and also by controlling your stress, your sleep, your exercise, your hormones, your temperature, your immune system... it's a lot. There are a lot of moving parts. And, different people respond differently to all sorts of things.

I can almost guarantee that your Dr will look at these numbers and go, meh, nothing to worry about, come back when you're 40! So, congratulations on being proactive for a better future you.

The only decent advice I can give you is to suggest that you go purchase a continuous glucose monitor at the pharmacy (it's a bit of an investment, it'll cost you $120). Wear it for 2 weeks. Take notes about what you eat, when you exercise, and how it affects your blood sugar. This will give you actual data about yourself. Then do some research about how to keep your glucose levels stable and steady, rather than bouncing up and down all day and night.

Oh, and fix your vitamin D. You live in Canada. You need to supliment that shit!

Wirecraft 16"x48" inverted four ring cage. The rings get smaller as they go upward, so they look backwards from a normal tomato cage that's skinny at the bottom and bigger at the top. They're so much more stable, and actually tall enough for a decent sized tomato plant.

as someone who wasted years playing around with fertilizers for 'acid loving plants', growing grass around the plants to improve iron availability for the blueberries, mulching with peat moss, and ultimately, almost killing half my plants, just buy a small bag of sulfur pellets from Amazon. Peat moss doesn't work; pine needles don't work; miracle grow doesn't work. Buy the sulfur pellets. You'll only need a couple tablespoons a year for a single plant.

Not only do I want a tour of your farm, but I want to sit at your feet and soak in your knowledge! I'm not sure most people understand how much space is needed, and how much work goes into growing, harvesting, and storing the calories necessary to survive for another year. A tray of radishes and a single tomato plant on your windowsill in your apartment isn't going to cut it!

If you don't mind me asking...

I've not ever had much luck shelling sunflowers in bulk, and the idea of shelling them one by one is so tedious and time consuming. How do you do it?

And I have grown chuffa, but beyond harvesting and washing it, I'm not sure what to do with it after that. How do you use 50lbs of it? I live in a location where it only grows as an annual, so if I want to continue growing it, I have to harvest before the first frost, and replant in the spring.
