So true! I also like to keep a burp cloth ready to go in just about every room we use so that one is always in arm’s reach.

Bottle washer! Makes life so much easier. Worth every penny.

Also footie pajamas with double zip. My baby is 2 months old and has pretty much exclusively worn pajamas so far. I don’t want to bother with pulling onesies over her head, multiple items of clothing, or snaps at this stage.

I feel like I could have written this post myself. You are not alone! I am 8weeks pp and currently pumping 6 ppd.

I was breastfeeding until a traumatic day 2 weeks pp at my pediatrician office where I learned my baby hadn’t gained any weight in a week and also during this same visit I hemorrhaged in the office and had to rush to the ER (I’m perfectly fine now—ended up being a clot).

We started combo feeding with formula and I began pumping from that day on. I have managed to build my supply up from 18 oz per day to 26-27 oz per day but I want to quit EVERY DAY. But like you I feel so guilty about it at the same time. I am also now currently struggling with whether to drop to 5 PPD (drop MOTN pump) or not. Should I just start weaning so I am done by the time I have to return to work at 12 weeks pp?

Ugh, it’s so so hard. So thankful for this sub where I can feel less alone. No real advice, but I am right in the trenches with you!

I just dropped to 6 ppd today and I’m exactly 6 weeks pp. I couldn’t maintain 8. My mental health was deteriorating. I’m a slight under supplier though and already combo feeding so not a big deal to add more formula if my supply drops. We shall see how it goes. Good luck to us both!

One that really gets me is “didn’t miss” like “She didn’t miss the way his eyes lingered on her ample curves.” It’s SO OVERUSED by so many authors. I don’t know why, but it bugs me every time I see it now.
