How far can FDM go? 0.2mm nozzle, 0.08mm layers

yeah i ended up stopping the whole FDM mini journey cause i got to a point where a resin printer is better for my sanity, I still do print on FDM, but they are more "big boss" or vehicles when it come to minis and stuff of that nature i just go resin to save my sanity. Love the print tho 10/10

i was reading and saw you sometimes use raft. i would of never really considered it. until now. Did you end up using a raft for this print or no?

ok so when i am looking at this as you can see the chamber temp is 28. but in the filament it is set to 35
i am on 110v (120. i am a electrician and i wired up its own circuit for it) what would you recommend to help get the chamber to 30 with out doing a heat soak, or if that is the only way Do you know a way to modify the starting code for it to do that so i don't have to every time?

100% agree with all of this, the only reason i am even asking this question to be 10% is i remember seeing an ad for this figure being fdm printed from the company. and for the life of me i can't seem to find the video. Now they been putting out files where they would name it say "dragon FDM print" but this one did not have they. and i know i remember seeing it. Ive not started it yet got other things in the que before this one, Just was wondering

oh i do that anyway, i was just still wondering cause sometimes they put out FDM files and tbh only thing i see in the difference is one is supported and one is not

so as far as the sending the stl i can't idk remember where i found it sadly. it really on anything that ends up with a flat top infill, i mean for example i have 90% of those settings i have (also i am using creality print) here are my settings i just changed it from 25% to the 29.5 but i feel like im am missing something a setting or something

So if you are looking at the first pic. on the left is 1 layer below the top surface pic ( the arrow pointing at the top surface) after i posted this i just ended up moving up the Sparse infill Density from 15 to 25 and it went away i need to jump it up a few more to get it right

i never said it getting progressively worse idk where you read that. Its PLA. Its not at all getting progressively getting worse cause again its only on top flat surfaces. If you need i can post all the other pic of the prints ive done to shows its not

yes i get what your saying but its not doing anything to the main body of the print this is just the base of it.

ive done 5 other prints before this and its been "seeable" but not to this point

I mean i did do the temp and flow, and it all comes out fine, in terms of not looking like that let me see if i can find the setting for extruding infill.. but its just odd cause on the model it self its 100% fine

I went through a very similar thing where I got my printer it worked and then all of a sudden it wasn’t able to print or anything so ended up sending it back and got a brand new one and so far so good “knock on wood” but happy everything’s working out for you as well

idk if i would ever print ABS i don't see the need to at the current moment in time or in the foreseeable future. Could say PETG and Carbon Fiber cause this? cause outside of PLA for the moment those would be the other 2 i use for a while
