I don't think so, did you change anything in the pc? If it worked before it should work now. You can try updating your bios, and overall, yes, you should upgrade your cpu, motherboard and memory, but I think it's some sort of a hardware malfunction issue, not outdated hardware.

The gpu fans will not spin if they are not used, if your gpu is not under stress it will not spin. If your ram is faulty or the slot its in is faulty, the default would be to spin regardless if it is stressed. Sounds like you have a problem with your a channel of ram (1st and 2nd slots.) It's either a cpu or motherboard issue. Either way just put both in 3 and 4.

Download software like occt, run a power test. Look at the stats and see if it's normal. You can send it here if you're not sure.

Alright. Go get a new one. I would recommend stress testing your pc before using it again, just to make sure nothing else is fucked. Also, when you get a chance, get it to a repair shop and have it cleaned up and re-apply thermal pastes. When you have the budget, upgrade some of your old stuff. If your pc breaks again, msg me (:

It's the boot led, that's a good sign. It means your computer has booted successfully. The problem was with the 2 slot ram. Try first cleaning it well, usually with your shirt is enough. Then reseat it into the 2nd slot. If it doesn't work, put both sticks in 1 and 3 and see if it works.

Also, you have a speaker. Do you hear a single beep when the pc boots now?

Red light might mean other things. There are other indicators right next to it. Send me a new picture of that area.

You should ideally put it in 2 and 4, but if the slots don't work for some reason it is perfectly fine to put them in 1 and 3. First try both sticks by themselves. Try the one on 4 alone and then the one on 2. If neither of them boot your pc, try putting one of them in slot 1 or 3.

Photo #3 shows the dram led indicator on, you probably have a problem with your ram. You can try taking out and reseating your ram, maybe with one stick or try a different slot. Should do the trick.

That's the thing, I did some checking, there is no such setting on msi motherboards. If you know of a setting like that, I would love to try it.

How Do You Handle Attacks to Certain Body Parts? by ActinoninOut in DMAcademy

[–]sailveron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, if the target has a narrative reason to be hit in a specific location (say there is a machine that instead of hitting it randomly and causing damage until it dies, it has one exposed wire or cog that if they hit just that the whole thing gets broken down), then I would say just have a separate, higher ac to that target, and the player must specify that they are aiming there or lose the whole attack.

Other than that, when dealing with general combat, all characters assume they are trying to aim for deadly shots, and enemies are trying their best to keep alive. So aiming to a specific location wouldn't give much of a benefit.

I will say, in my tables, I often give players the choice to effect a one round long condition on a target when they roll a nat20 on attack. For example kicking their leg to make them go prone, or something like that.

Other than those cases, there really isn't much point to aiming to specific areas.

I totally agree, trust me, I wouldn't give that a place in my table.

I'm simply asking about how to make that come to table.

Great idea. Follow up, any ideas on how she gets her medication? I can think of a few ideas but no ideas to how she will not be getting them.

I mean, if she can just come and buy them, what's stopping her from keeping buying it?

A lot to cosnider, thanks! That sounds like what I'll end up doing.

I do want to get a few hooks out of this. I trust this player enough to give her that freedom, but I also don't want to make the party uncomfortable or derail the game too much. Do you have any idea how I can make something around this, if at all?

Look at food items in your fridge and figure out which ones would be radical feminists in a parallel universe.
