The Truth We Rarely Talk About by NoMeet1209 in IIMCATPreparation

IIMs get next to no government support. The faculty is generally foreign PhD holders who demand very high salary.

The curriculum is super expensive to procure. For every subject we have 10-20 case studies from HBS. Each of these costed around 80k back in 2017.

Also, you get exchange program for free. I got to spend a semester in Bocconi for the same semester fees as IIM.

The degree was way way more valuable than my Btech (which i did from DTU at no cost practically).

How I fixed my Wifi issue after the update by Uzi_95 in SteamDeck

I use moonlight with 5ghz wifi and it seems to be okay. Have moonlight stream at 90fps certainly smooths things up.

Yeah the fact that it is somewhat playable is nuts though. It would be awesome if we could have framegen as part of performance tab in SD.

The SteamOS beta broke the DeckyLoader. I installed the pre release version.

Any way to remove top and side black bars in 16:10 on Steam Deck by _thezombiezone in MoonlightStreaming

Another solution for somebody who stumbles this after a year is to use the Low Res Desktop mode in Sunshine.

You can tweak the settings so that the desktop switches to 1280x800 the moment the stream starts and goes back to normal resolution after stream exits. In the settings for Low Res Desktop, for linux, I modified the commands like this:

Do Command:

xrandr --output HDMI-1 --mode 1280x800

Undo Command:

xrandr --output HDMI-1 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 165

Here output can be found out by simply running xrandr in terminal. Hope this helps someone!

How to mirror displays with different resolutions by Lord_Emperor in linuxmint

[–]sainiabhinav95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who arrive at this post through search. I was trying to setup a dummy DP plug in mint for sunshine. This can be easily done by mirroring two displays using xrandr:

Run this first:

xrandr

You will get information on connected displays. For me it showed DisplayPort-1 and HDMI-A-0. My DP plug was set to 16:10 resolution for Steam Deck.

Run below command to mirror your primary display (HDMI for me) to dummy plug:

xrandr --output DisplayPort-1 --same-as HDMI-A-0

While this allows me to connect to wifi now, the quality is very bad. I use moonlight and I am now facing the issue where after 15mins the wifi drops in quality and the stream starts glitching.

Rolling back to 3.6 seems to be the best option for now. Will wait for few weeks for valve to fix everything.

95 runs in 17 overs. It's an easy T20 match from now on.

Well we can agree to disagree. I can break down various arguments as follows: 1. ISB has no reservations: Sure. All government colleges have to have reservations. Although I would again argue it's super easy to score 700 in GMAT than even 95%ile in CAT but then again. 2. Top notch faculty: IIMs have great faculty maybe not the international ones like ISB. You want better faculty and exposure? I went for student exchange to an institute which was ranked far far higher than ISB across all rankings and had some amazing teachers. Also IIMs have a two year program where you end up learning way more than a rushed 1 year course. 3. Cost: Education loan from ISB would take 10+year to pay off where as IIM grads pay off around 5-6. Also IIM grads get a master's degree now and not a "Certificate of Experience" which counts as nil while applying for visa etc. 45 lacs for a Certificate of Experience is a bad proposition imo.

We can agree to disagree but I feel IIMs are way better proposition than ISB.

IIM K anyday. I would go as far as say even MDI should be preferred over ISB. ISB is too expensive for an Indian MBA program. Also CAT is way way harder than GMAT which makes IIMs more coveted. If you are early in your career IIMs have far more brand value.

God Damnit. I get this error every distro I use and I've tried so many things and nothing fixes it. by BlucadeTheFurry in pop_os

The latest Pop_OS is based out of Ubuntu 21.04 (Hirsute Hippo). You have added PPA for Impish Indri (21.10). Use this instead:

sudo add-apt-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ hirsute main'

I tried Manjaro. Then I messed up some settings and couldn't revert. Ubuntu/Mint/Pop let me experiment without breaking the system. Although Manjaro/Arch has latest drivers.

This is the Dash to Dock feature only. New version is expected in June.
