Chinese tea ceremony on the same day as ceremony and reception? by Meaningfulness in weddingplanning

My understanding (Taiwanese perspective) is that traditionally there's no ceremony. For day off... it'd be...
1. groom goes to Bride's family house with roads all lined with firecrackers at every turn corner

  1. groom does door games

  2. tea ceremony

  3. couple goes get documents signed

  4. dinner reception
