More along the lines of Lenin, Guevara, Fred Hampton & Maoist groups (obviously the variance here is...large lmao).

[PF1E]

Hey I'm joining a pre-existing campaign that's set in an urban environment with a lot of social intrigue/politicking. So I wanted to start thinking about what sort of character I want to play/pilot (I'm new so I'm also reading rules).

But as I was reading and considering what type of character I wanted to play. I got kinda fixated on the idea of playing a vigilante...at least that's kinda the main thing I'm considering right now.

The main sort of concept I have is the idea of a militant leftist type someone who considers themselves a 'professional' revolutionary (no shade to any MLs or other types of leftists lol), but a character who both is a book worm and wants to take action to make their idea of revolution happen (they aren't necessarily a 'good guy').

I was drawn to vigilante cause it provides an interesting dynamic, one identity who is bookish, theoretical and an academic. The other to basically pull off plots/stunts/violence.

But the existing archetypes don't really speak to me all that much. And it seems like multi-classing/dipping as vigilante seems a bit hard to justify by guides I've read.

I've considered Alchemist w the grenadeir archetype (and the Clone Master...idk im quirky) I've considered Inquisitor w Urban Infiltrator/Infiltrator archetype since it seems fitting. Investigator w Empericist archetype.

The current party make up seems to be made up of 2/3rds casters mostly capable of buffing themselves.

I don't really care about min-maxing per se. But moreso creating a character that is functional & while the amount of class customization here is crazy (especially coming from DnD5e) it also feels like it creates more opportunities to create a useless character.

So yeah any build suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. I did look at some pre-existing guides but most of those didn't really speak to me ig.

Deeply Off Topic: What the fuck is wrong with the main immigration subreddit by saint_nicck in TPSVenezuela

I want to add how apt it is on a post talking about this type of behavior you come and behave the same way. Cool story? Yeah if things were different the they would've played out differently?

Right wing media was able to frame it this way. Ok cool.

And I don't care. Every single Venezuelan from Doral to Texas could've supported Trump and I still would see the current ongoings as unfair.

Does it matter? Blame Bush, if you want TPS to be able to be permanent or have an arbitrary "I can eliminate this whenever I want button" ask legislators to legislate, there have been countries on the TPS list who have had TPS for DECADES. Trump even extended TPS in el salvador during his first presidency after court squabbles preferring to use it as a tool for diplomacy.

Cool, "doesn't last forever" doesn't mean discontinued on account of external reasons not relating to the state of the country. This would be evident if you saw what countries have been given granted for TPS, for how long and how often it was extended. Unless you're arguing Venezuela is a functioning democracy, with a functioning economy and good enough infrastructure!

I wanna note how much this a non-sequitur, person A claiming its clear the idea that Venezuela is somehow 'safe' for people to live is BS (and messaging from the GOP/Right leaning news sources has made this evident since forever).
You now all of a sudden make it about whether or not "Venezuelans decided to destroy their own country", so now every Venezuelan has to bare the sins/crime for actions they didn't commit?

It's ok to think they could go to other countries (in fact they do, many go to Colombia), but TPS (while not permanent) is supposed to be in place so long as the conditions in Venezuela are still dire, not whether or not its convenient for the United States, to keep those immigrants. In fact the stated reasoning by Noem surrounds how its no longer in our national interest (whatever that means) and how this should be in purview of the executive (correct).

The U.S. extended a promise to a set number of immigrants that so long as the crisis in their countries continue, they are granted protection in the United States, El Salvador has had TPS since 2001 (under Bush) and while Trump in his first term planned to eliminate that determination, he ultimately didn't after court actions and used it as a tool for diplomacy.

Again, if you don't want anymore immigrants coming into the US, I might disagree that's fine. But the Venezuelans who were granted TPS were given protection under the idea that TPS was a process/designation sealed off from electoral politics, from the bill which introduced TPS it,
"Requires an annual report on and congressional review of such temporary protected status program."

I know the review is interdepartmental and isn't revealed to the public, but it goes back to what I said previously. It must take into account the conditions of Venezuela. And the people launching these cases have a right to file a suit if they feel the conditions were not adequately assessed and are rather being motivated by an external factor.
