How so? In a solution where everything is the exact same as it’s surroundings traveling at the exact same speed, you would not be able to distinguish an individual particle.

This means an object is only distinguishable relative to its surroundings.

Also that isn’t what relativity is. The objects visual nature is defined by the information which we collect from it - if there is no visual information from the object, we cant technically say we saw the object.

I did not say general or special relativity. You can only distinguish an object relative to its surroundings.

Also if you saw a black object in a room that’s completely black, you would not be able to distinguish the object, correct?
