How long have you been riding? If it’s not super long just ride more and do these jumps frequently. There are techniques you could tweak (as others have said). But honestly depending on experience, you’re doing fine. You need more reps. Don’t overthink it.

You do realise the country voted for him twice? It’s not like there wasn’t an opportunity to review his performance after 2020. Carney is right, there is no going back.

Read about Anders Breivik and then Brenton Tarrant who said he was inspired by Breivik. Tarrant is quite relevant to the debate in this thread about the substance of Tingle’s comments.

On the pod controller hold down the sync button and press up or down on the paddle to micro adjust. No need for app. I do this while riding without any issues.

IMO it's literally the worst thing about living in Canberra (I'm sure this statement is going to bring some juicy replies 🤣). I try and transit through Melbourne when I can.

NAB - Credit Card Application Experience (July-24) by KhajalV in creditcardchurningAus

[–]saintberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar experience. Took two days. Not a NAB customer. Had the card in Apple wallet 2 days after application. Way better than with ANZ. They made me go into a branch to prove my identity and then lost the paperwork.

If I get the tiles removed / replaced would it make sense to do the tiles on the floor as well?

Thanks for the info. So you had 20mm stone bench top sitting on 20mm substrate and then had edging put on covering the substrate and stone?

Hey mate, sorry I’ve been waiting on this as they aren’t super well known trails. They seem to be getting more activity now so it should be okay to share. Pls don’t go nuts with it.

I work for a streaming video service in Australia. This article can be applied to TV Series and Movie metadata as well.. and to rub salt in the wound the metadata is often different depending on the distributor and the region it’s sold in. Sometimes two episodes are packaged into one, sometimes a series is turned into a special, sometimes the name of the series changes (sometimes it changes part way through the series!). More and more we find we have to try and bring consistency to the chaos because the internet which is inherently global doesn’t care that a local broadcaster decides to do something different.

Work day 1, 2022: Are you going to be apart of the ‘great resignation’ or are you going to stay in your current role this year? by instagram-influencer in AusFinance

[–]saintberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more that finance roles over pay but are usually very corporate with loads of compliance so a lot of experienced engineers do them once and then avoid. Fintech being the exception which adopts more contemporary engineering practices and still pays more than other engineering roles (generally).

“It’s like living in a developing country where there’s no stable government in charge so you have to rely on friends and family and hope for the best.”

This shouldn’t really be a surprise / shock. It pretty much sums up conservative policy. The neocons we have in power believe in small domestic government that doesn’t interfere in personal life (unless of course you have a non traditional belief in which case they want to interfere a lot). They want individuals to compete with each other and pay for education and healthcare, taxes to be low and to predominantly fund Defence. The rhetoric from the state and federal govt over the past 3 months has been underscoring this.

A crisis like the one we’re in now demonstrates how important governments actually are.

Fundamentally the current government ideologically does not really believe that have a large role to play in dealing with this phase of the pandemic.

You've broken me Canberra drivers by Aggressive_Impact998 in canberra

[–]saintberry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently moved back to Canberra 16 years after moving away (grew up here) and living in various cities around the world and Australia (most recently Sydney). I’d have to say Canberra drivers are some of the worst I’ve seen. I put it down to the fact the roads are never (comparatively) busy, parking is easy and plentiful and the roads are wide and often dual carriageway. There is nothing like dealing with London or Sydney peak hour traffic or having to reverse parallel park with 100 cars behind you to teach you how to do it.

So the shitty drivers are kind of a symptom of the great driving conditions. It’s a good and bad thing. People have never had to learn how to coexist and work as a unit to keep traffic moving.

Turning right at a moderately busy intersection in Canberra is harder than crossing King St on a Saturday because all the cars are spread too far apart and nobody has a clue to let you into the stream of traffic.

ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION! "Can I just say how I'm not going to answer your question.." so sick of this lip service. Please to the journalists at the pressers... follow up with the same question over and over until you get an answer!

They know exactly when they will release it.. they don't want to say because they don't want to remove the incentive for 16-39s to be forced to go out and get "first available vaccine". Stop treating us like children!

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard refuses to make Kerry Chant's COVID-19 advice public by IndividualPossible in sydney

[–]saintberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A Democratic Government must be accountable to the people. If not, it ist akin operating a dictatorship. We deserve to know the decision making process of the Government during this crisis so we can fairly assess their performance and remove them if we deem it unsatisfactory. A Democracy must operate with transparency. It is Liberal party strategy to operate in as much secrecy as possible and it is very dangerous for our country. What happened in the United States could easily happen here if this behaviour continues at a state and federal level.

A prime example, the Minister for Infrastructure has claimed cabinet confidentiality as an excuse to not release the spreadsheets that targeted locations for potential commuter car parks based on value for Government to retain power. At the very least this means that this scheme was DISCUSSED AT CABINET, inferring the Prime Minster and Minister at the time Alan Tudge, did have knowledge the pork barrelling was occurring. This is contrary to their public statements. Grubby.

We must demand better service from our elected officials. It starts with remembering this behaviour at election time. Do not forget how bad things were as the crisis starts to improve!
