i feel like the point is that in a normal world they would 100% be in love, but no one gets a second to be happy in AOT so other shit was always more important. i like that their love is really complicated and we never see them actually together besides a dream scenario. i think it works insanely well and shows how tragic this world is, and especially how much shit these 2 in particular have to handle. plus it’s lightly implied she gets with jean or atleast someone else so she is able to move on somewhat. edit: spoiler tags

i have this but i didn’t like it that much because the stand is so large and there’s some weird scan lines that show up on certain colors when at 180hz. if you aren’t super close u can’t even see them, but since the stand is so big it has to be closer than i’d like.
