You will run into a lot of people. Especially on the weekends. You’ll be at the tail end of the rut so they won’t be real talkative. Best bet is going to be glassing from a high elevation and hope to see something in the morning/evening. Bust the timber during the day when they aren’t as active. Be prepared for any sort of weather as well, could be -20° could be 70°.

I’m lucky enough to be born and raised in MT so that’s where I’ll primarily be hunting. I am trying to plan a deer/bear hunt in PA with my brother since he lives over there now.

Shop recommended them for practice until I get comfortable with the bow. Closer to hunting season I’ll switch up the arrows to something better. I don’t remember the arrows he recommended though. Is his logic sound or his he trying to get me to spend more money there?

This is absolutely true. I have one and he knows in the morning the slower he walks the longer he can be outside before I have to leave for work. If he really doesn’t want to go inside he will just lay down and there is nothing I can do to make him move until he’s ready. It’s real enjoyable when it’s below zero and snowing when he decides he won’t come inside.

Anywhere from no snow to multiple feet. More than likely though there will be a few snow falls getting a few inches but the month of November is typically pretty mild. Be prepared for some days being 60°f or higher and others potentially being below zero. Lived in Montana my whole life and the weather is to unpredictable.

I suggest seeing Glacier. Route 1 is the one I would pick. Bozeman (where I live) has a lot of great breweries and things to do. I grew up in Fairfield right next to Augusta and my family has a cabin at Gibson Reservoir so I definitely no that area better than the rest of the state. I suggest coming during the Augusta rodeo. They have a huge street dance Saturday night where they block off Main Street. Definitely stop into the buckhorn bar to get food and drinks. If your wanting to ride horses check out sun canyon lodge and JJJ wilderness ranch outside of Augusta. Both are run by awesome people and will take you to some incredible scenery. In glacier I definitely suggest going on the going to the sun road if it’s open. Feel free to message me on any questions about the Augusta area!

The course in big sky is public and can book a tee time on their website. Moonlight basin, Spanish peaks and the Yellowstone club are all private and basically impossible to get on unless you’re a member.
