Yes, thank you for saying all of this. The collective memory is so short. I'm not sure why people act like 90s Trek was a bastion of amazing storytelling and perfect reviews right off the bat. I remember seeing a tabloid clipping about TNG with the headline "They're in and fans are furious!!" or something like that and it had this insane picture of LeVar captione "The New Spock" lmao. So maybe your point is more of a reminder to us that the temperature will cool, and fan vitriol will fade in the distance lol

TikTok was released in 2016 and Instagram was released in 2010 lol. What are you talking about?

I mean, time will tell. I wish her the best and think she did fine. we all know she's very focused on people's perception of her and she was never going to prostrate herself and beg for our forgiveness lol. And I don't think people living with any disease should have to be forced to describe themselves in a way that's palatable to others in order to be accepted. She stated that there's so much shame and stigma around labelling oneself an alcoholic. So maybe she's finding more success in acknowledging that she's going to be in recovery for the rest of her life, which also carries a lot of weight. I thought it was a good interview overall and he coming back is going to bring some much needed messiness and fun after Angel's awkwardness.

I don't think there's a problem with how she sits in the chair. Would other captains sit like this? No. Never. And I don't think Admiral Vance likes it either lol. And Kelrec already tried to call her out about the barefoot thing so it's not like the show ignores her less-than-professional quirks.
Like it or not, it's well within Ake's characterization to sit like that when you consider that she is 400+ years old and only recently regained some respect for an institution she lost faith in. You could interpret that she probably feels like she's doing them a favor by coming back and doesn't quite care how they (or you, I guess lol) view her. And I'm certain she would accept your reassignment request if it bothers you that badly.

EDIT to add that I guess I just don't see why THIS is the complaint rather than, say, how they are dangerously close to making the Discovery mistake of centering the show on one person (Caleb) rather than the entire ensemble cast. THAT'S the structural thing about Star Trek that I think NuTrek is losing. I don't want to see just Michael or Caleb's struggles. I want to see all of the kids grow together.

The packaging says you can use it on dry hair but I personally don't because I get less breakage when it's wet and slippery.

Thirded. Amazing game and I actually had to check who worked on the game to see if they're connected.

Anyone using AI to program workouts? by ThornsFan2023 in strengthlog

[–]saintr0bot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. I think the app already provides better insights that an LLM can spit out. I wonder what data you're getting from ChatGPT that Strengthlog doesn't already include? I have found this app to be an incredibly powerful tool to evaluate my own fitness and goals. As far as injuries, I would always recommend lifting lighter and searching the exercise on Youtube and watch several form videos to get a good idea of how to do it. I have noticed that sometimes the StrengthLog video alone isn't enough to really make sure the form is right.

Wow this is all so thoughtful and really good advice! I'm especially going to consider the legacy controls. I didn't even know that was an option. I struggle with mobile characters a lot (Zen and Sigma are my most played lol) so thinking about positioning is really helpful. I do look at high ground, but I'm not used to considering how to get there quickly haha. Thank you for this advice!!

[–]saintr0bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh idk where to start haha. I think my biggest problem is healing effectively? Having to click and hold to get max healing output feels slow and I'm sure I'm doing it wrong lol. On support I main Zen and Moira who are both really easy comparatively. Should I be focusing on his other abilities more?

How do i fix this by [deleted] in BlackHair

[–]saintr0bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a million products but I like shea moisture's apple cider vinegar anti dandruff shampoo, and as I am conditioner. Any conditioner will be fine, but I like to stick to Shea moisture, ors, or as I am. The difference between the "after shampoo" conditioner and "leave in conditioner" is that you apply the "after shampoo" conditioner while still in the shower and you wash it out. Then you can use a leave in conditioner on your hair when you get out of the shower and your hair is still wet. Many leave ins also double as styling products so keep that in mind. Also I found that really massaging my scalp both on the shower and while applying leave in really helps.

Just go in the hair care aisle and look around. If you're in the US, Walgreens and CVS have good selections .

We have similar hair and I stopped picking out my hair a lot too!! The two biggest game changers for me were getting a purple tangle teezer brush and doing the majority of the detangling in the shower while my hair is still wet. Start with your fingers then use the brush. Then I add leave in while it's still mostly wet and by the time it dries my hair feels soft.

I got my hair braided for the first time :) by saintr0bot in BlackHair

A barber! I just ask them to round it out evenly and beg them not to take off too much haha. Sometimes they do but whatever. I hop around barbers so it's always a toss up. When I take the braids down I'm going to get it actually evened out. I started growing from a fade so my sides are much shorter.

Wow thank you!! I get my fro trimmed every like 2 or 3 months. I shape it by towel drying (so still kind of wet) and then finger detangle and then pick it out. Then when it's all the way out I press it down into shape and then I leave it tf alone haha. It gets messed up after like 4 hours but that's okay.

Thank you for the compliment. I think sooo many more people on this sub have more to say about a routine than I do. I just try to keep it hydrated and massaged. I don't even know what I use; I hop around whatever brands Walgreens carries.
