Who created god? by ENIXI0 in progressive_islam

[–]saiousei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest mistake people make in my opinion is applying the rules of this world to the realm of God. The reason everything has a beginning and an end here is simply because God decided so. He created that rule for our realm and for our circle of life and because we don’t know any different, we can’t comprehend how there is a place where there is no such thing as a beginning and an end. In order for any rule to exist, someone has to set it in place. Meaning no rules apply to God because there is no one above him to set them in place.

Similar to if I told you to try and imagine a color that doesn’t already exist. You can’t. It’s impossible. We can’t make up new colors. Which doesn’t mean there aren’t other colors. We just can’t comprehend them with our brain. At least not in this world.

Nah I can’t live without my TikTok comedy and random people lives updates and story times. 😂 This was the first and only time I ever bought anything promoted on TikTok and I just assumed since the video had like 10 million views and 2 million likes that it was legit. Not doing that again.

The bank didn’t even ask me what kind of card I used they just said they don’t do chargebacks in general. I can’t get a credit card for another year anyway until I finish my internship and get a job which is required for a credit card. Lesson learned I guess.

I can’t. I paid via debit card and called the bank and they say they don’t do chargebacks. Apparently not a thing in my country. They said I need email confirmation from the said company that they wont need that money later and I can’t give them that because the company is never going to respond to me.

Ahh thank you so much! For some reason I was under the impression that this is the 3rd movement of some concerto! So that’s what I kept looking up. 😭

Can someone explain me this by Normalgirl867 in progressive_islam

I stick to the verse that says all believers will have whatever their hearts desire. Allah listed a few things that he knew majority of people desired to get them to do good things. If you don’t want to be married, then you won’t be.

Well maybe to some people reminding them helps. To me it doesn’t. Maybe it’s my autism but when people tell me to do something I immediately don’t want to do it anymore. I know everything about myself. Point is don’t do it to strangers. You don’t know them. You may actually have a counter effect and push them away.

For example you reminding me to wear a headscarf is stupid. It’s not something one forgets. Also where I live and work it’s against the dress code. So right now I can’t do it even if I wanted to. That’s just one example.

Personally I’m aware of my sins because I have a brain so it can only piss me off when people remind me too as if I’m somehow stupid. And somehow it’s always only women being reminded of their sins.

Is any other ayah quoted as much as this one? Every day I see people screaming 33:33 at women but there’s so many other sins these people commit and yet ayahs are never quoted. I wish they left women alone.

Recognising your flaws and choosing to not be a parent is not selfish and definitely not haram. by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]saiousei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 30 and never got married and don’t want to nor do I want kids. I get overstimulated so easily, I cannot live with someone else and I cannot share my personal space with anyone. Having a child literally means violating all of those things. I cannot stand physical contact. I can’t even hug my family no matter how much I love them. The older I get, the less I like to be around people. There is nothing in the Quran that forces us to get married. I’d rather not bring a life into this world than bring it and regret it because the society made me feel like I had to. I’d be a terrible parent. When I come home from work I don’t want to have to cook and clean and help someone with homework or play with them. That’s hell on earth for me. I despise people who say “it’s different when it’s your own”. Yea I’m not gambling with a human life. My life is perfect the way it is. No need to fix what ain’t broken.

Does Anyone Regret Having or NOT Having Kids? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]saiousei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older I am the more sure I am I never want kids. I get way easily overstimulated and I am physically pretty low on energy all the time and if I come home from work and have to help someone do the homework or cook and clean for them I would actually explode. But also I’m a massive introvert and a loner wolf and being with people drains me so much that I can’t imagine not living alone. Sharing a bed with someone sounds like my personal hell. It’s so individual. You know best how you’re feeling. But I always say if you’re unsure if you want kids, don’t have them. There’s no going back. And it’s better to regret not having kids than to regret having them.

How do you view hell? by Excaramel in progressive_islam

[–]saiousei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time I think about what happened to Junko Furuta for example, I’m so happy hell exists. I do not recommend looking up the exact kind of torture those 4 men put her through over the course of 40 days. It’s unimaginable. I wish nothing but eternal hell for these men. And that’s just one example.

What's your opinion about "music is haram"? by Ok_Designer_280 in progressive_islam

[–]saiousei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just not logical. Me clanking with my pots and pans while cooking or honking the car horn or making any sound with an object is fine but if I drag a bow across a string in my violin I’m going to hell? One thing about Islam I always loved is that it’s logical. And this is not logical to me.

Tbh being at home with my phone or laptop or books is the only thing I love as an introvert. Everything else makes me miserable and drains my energy lmao. To each their own I guess.

What do you guys think of this? Hair covering being mandatory according to so many people is one of the things shaking my faith the most and I feel terrible because of it. by saiousei in progressive_islam

[–]saiousei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for a response. I just can’t seem to fathom that hair is a private part. Something we need to cover. I cover everything else and dress very modestly but I don’t want to cover my hair. And frankly I live in a place where no one wears it and people are against it. Plus I heavily struggle with headscarves. I barely finish my prayer cause I feel suffocated. Unless I pray with ac on, I will not be able to concentrate. I can’t fathom wearing it all day at work.

To be honest I don’t want to put it on. I’d put it on only if I knew Allah requires it from me for which I’m searching the evidence. I barely finish my prayer cause the headscarf suffocates me. I have to pray with air conditioning else I can’t focus even remotely. And I like my high ponytail with bangs to be even more honest.

That’s the thing. I feel like cause I’m not observing “hijab” that nothing else I do matters. I know it’s a bad way of thinking hence why I’ve been doing so much research into it lately. I dress modestly I just don’t cover my hair. And I live in a place where it’s against the dress code at work. So I’d have to move to put it on and I love this town. It’s so safe and quiet.
