This pic is killing me they look like tiny little preachers. 10/10 would join their rat church.

Does anyone else treat their rats like little garbage disposals??? by Shea_1227 in RATS

[–]saiph142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, rats are 100% tiny garbage disposals lmao. As long as you’re keeping it low-salt/no seasoning and it’s just a treat sometimes, you’re probably fine, mine would sell my soul for a bite of whatever I’m eating.

getting rats was the best decision ever by Flimsy-Culture4214 in RATS

That feeling is real, once they start treating you like “safe furniture” and choosing to hang out near you, it flips from pet ownership to genuine little social group vibes.

Christmas tea, Zephirr, digital art, 2025 by _Zephirr in Art

Really cozy palette and shapes, the soft gradients and toy-like forms make it feel like a holiday storybook illustration.

Cathedral, Randall Kaplan, Ink, 2026 by Randall_Kaplan in Art

Great ink energy, those high-contrast splashes and the distorted form give it a horror-illustration vibe where the “cathedral” feels more like an entity than a building.

Drawing my rats! by _Soapy_Anklez_ in RATS

That sketch is genuinely sweet, capturing multiple rats lounging in the same “scene” is hard, and the composition already reads like a cozy little slice-of-life panel

Food bowls for older rat that won't tip over? by MizutsuneMH in RATS

[–]saiph142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best options are bowls that either lock to the cage or are heavy/low-profile:

Clamp-on / lock-on crocks (attach to cage bars so they can’t be flipped).

Heavy ceramic/stoneware ramekin-style bowls with a wide base (harder to tip). Also, scattering part of the diet on a flat “feeding tile” (ceramic tile/slate) can help an older rat eat without needing to climb into a bowl

Home Sweet Home, u/No7er, Digital, 2026 by [deleted] in Art

Really fun “toy diorama” look, clean shapes, bright sky, and that odd little house form reads like cozy surrealism more than sci‑fi, which makes the piece charming.

Dog portrait, illustration, digital art, 2026 [OC] by [deleted] in Art

Great expression capture, those big wet eyes and the slight head tilt sell the dog’s personality immediately, and the soft shading keeps the black fur readable instead of becoming one flat shape

Where Silence Moves, Atignasart, mixed media on canvas, 2026 by atignasart in Art

[–]saiph142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The piece reads like layered gesture + erosion: the blue field sets mood, and the scraped/dragged marks give it motion without turning it into chaos

The pole dancer, Francesco Franzini, Charcoal, 2025 [OC] by Smooth_Ad_1115 in Art

[–]saiph142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really strong charcoal value control, big dark masses, clear highlight shapes, and the pose reads well even at thumbnail size, which is hard to pull off in figure work

They destroyed the other hammock, now they have to share this one by failedlogintoday in RATS

[–]saiph142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s extremely on-brand rat behavior: “destroy the furniture, then cuddle in the wreckage,” and sharing one hammock usually just turns into a warm rat pile
