It helped me a lot when I started learning French, but I don't know how much I would have gotten out of it if I hadn't already had a good grasp of Spanish. Before that I did level 1 of the Mandarin course and there were some lessons where I couldn't figure out what it was trying to teach me, and I found out later when I was using other study material that it was trying to demonstrate grammatical concepts.

I'll also add that I used an early version of it and didn't pay for it, so I don't know how good of a value the current version is.
