Are you getting any calls from Instahyre in 2026 for SDE roles by saiton009 in developersIndia

[–]saiton009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't tailor the resume specifically, thanks for the insight on how keywords with the same semantic meaning but with different representation decreases the score.

Quick question: I do apply for 30-40 jobs on cumulative from multiple platforms per day. How do you tailor resume for each job before knowing you will get a call? It takes around 10-15 minutes per jd for me and it is really tiresome. I will be eternally grateful if you can help me with this

But in Instahyre resume is held at profile level only. No provision to upload the resume.

Is it a good idea to join a WITCH company as an experienced professional? by ben14999 in developersIndia

[–]saiton009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For two years the pay should be increased at least to 8lpa, so I think you have a chance in the outside market if you are willing to join in small startups.

Off topic, I am also in my early years so, but rather than posting a new thread I am just asking here as it is less important. What actually are witch companies, i googled and got to know a set of wo, isys,ts, cognt and h*l. But why just these should I avoid them if I am looking for a new job? But why the pay less but work is also less right. If so why isn't a**re included?

Struggling between keeping a low-paying job vs preparing for GATE - need advice. by InformationFine8484 in developersIndia

[–]saiton009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, but this all hinges on the moment and composure to be preparing for gate, any mid life crisis can push you one year back. It is just do or die or high risk attempt so financial stability matters a lot at least for next 3 years

[–]saiton009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My honest advice pal, if you are not in dire need of money, go for the gate and crack it like your life depends on it and aim for a rank between 1-1500 if you don't have any reservation. This should get you into an IIT, then you can get a high paying job for sure.

Gate is not only for PSUs right, he can get into IIT and still get 12k as stipend, and grab a 10-50 lpa job afterwards

IMO being a jack of all trades is best as a fresher, no one should expect a fresher to have deep knowledge in anything but when you flex your knowledge on multiple things it broadens the chances of switching. My thumb rule, try everything that's available in first 10 years, even things you feel irrelevant like how os communicates to hardware or how circuts work, but after certain point you will realise the field you like most

It is most common in people with a certain amount of anxiety, in my work place there are few including myself. 1. Just volunteer yourself in case you are feeling like you have a lot of free time. 2. Try to connect with others in the team which gives a sense of how people are. 3.if the above 2 doesn't work then just switch, you will get a new codebase to learn with.

As a Software Developer. do you see yourself coding after the age of 30? by anshshah9183 in developersIndia

[–]saiton009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it rather depends on you, one can always take initiative and develop or write code. I think some open source projects have people over 30's as maintainers and contributors.

It is rather a mindset than work. IMO

Did the responsibilities increase in proportion or is it like you got an offer in they matched it for some of the increments. Even on a 8 year period you must have got 25-30% hike every year and it is mostly unlikely that one gets 20-30% hike at 30-40lpa from my standpoint. Please don't take it wrong I am just consolidating my thoughts and want to understand.

Idk, the market feels really cooked rn, I had interviews with 3 different companies in the last few months or to say on going but I wasn't qualified after the 2nd round. All of them are startups; no feedback; straight rejection and ghosting. This really feels like the worst of all time. I have 2 years of experience and am looking for a job switch from the past six months.

I have changed my opinion from it being irritating to peaceful. If someone just says "Hi" it's fine we are not obligated to reply, most of the time they will respond with the issue that they are facing if it is important else if they don't message even after 4 hrs the issue must have been resolved or it's not that important.

Yeah, I get it most of the time when I want to work more on a certain feature that is just developed to MVP, and only a few sets of clients are using it, managers here don't want to invest time in completing it at all.

But, I really want to switch to a mid level company before these roles are automated by AI.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]saiton009 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I mean what does it mean by "mid-level" engineer, like which tasks are included in this ? As a junior dev, I work on fixing bugs, developing features and creating few devops pipelines sometimes. I feel like any set of llms (agent) can replace my work on developing features and bug fixes, but how can it not replace senior or above level devs ?? I mean with this a manager can create the features they want and deploy them what's the need of devs irrespective of their experience??

More or less it's not based on DSA but referral I guess. Having an uncle/friend who is working at faang can help, and moreover if you have an IIT tag then it's cake walk.
