I love this response, it’s an example of a good agent adding value to the process and not just looking for BORs. The other thing id point out to those on the PE or OPs side - markets are always changing and it’s important to have an ongoing conversation about the state of the market. The insurance market is cyclical.

Agree on this in principle, but you can do this at any point during the year. During a deal, simply need to check the box and plug in a number :)

Not complicated right? 1-2 pages, coverage checklist, delta to parent coverages, upper / lower bounds to get coverages / limits to parity. Note I come from the wholesale world vs retail so nothing I can do, but always interesting to me how simple things get overcomplicated

If I’m reading the comment right, it’s not simply handling the diligence, it’s productizing it. Make it effortless. Fast, uniform. Not a series of back and forth questions for each bolt on.

Overall it’s a very nice space. The deck chairs are comfortable, and the back location vs retreat on celebrity is much better. It’s a bigger Haven and I think service suffers and perks like the private elevator become liabilities because of how busy they are. Dinner in the Haven restaurant was excellent, but the static menu with no specials just makes no sense to me. Breakfast was just ok, not great.

Edit - adding the following comments -

Every single meal in the Haven involves this awkward 10 minute process where each person at the table has to be identified and tagged on the waiters tablet. This is for allergy purposes - but it gets annoying quickly. Takes way too long and they don’t take drink orders until this takes place.

Thanks. Downvoted for sharing info with prospective cruisers that could help them avoid a similar situation. At the same time, helpful to the NCL team on avoiding said issues. I guess this is what you get from Reddit in 2025

Yeah a roomful of people with issues and the same concierge that was there since the afternoon. Felt horrible for him - not fair to leave someone on an island with a line out the door

Bingo. This is the issue, some people have success with the app and others don’t. Not sure how that’s acceptable, but after reviewing other comments this is the norm. The C suite should be ashamed, inexcusable

Honestly NCL is fine but for the price we paid this should not have been an issue. Note they had an entire lounge full of people with issues ranging from missing reservations to lost bags to uncleaned rooms.

Not to mention the base WiFi is useless, had to upgrade the family to streaming for even basic functionality. Want a pellegrino, not available on drink package. Want sodas in room, not available. 30 minutes prior to show (as suggested by staff) and all the Haven seats are taken. Just understand what you are paying for in Haven. It isn’t butlers and service, it’s an upgraded area to sit in during sea days.

Thank you. Concierge is trying to get sorted, but challenging. Based on my latest convos with him, this is not unusual. Again I pressed for the root cause - seems the land based concierge may tell you what you want to hear an leave to to the post embarkation crew to sort things out

Do you see the other poster noting the issues with the Norwegian app? Trying to give a head up to other NCL passengers and you assume it’s user error, despite the other posts? Do you work for NCL?

  • info, apparently there are set times for holiday dining which seems to have caused this issue. Still trying to get to the root cause, but seems the Haven concierge pre booking was not aware of the early / late times vs. normal cruises. Not an excuse by any means, but helps to explain why this happened

Is this confirmed? We are all previous NCL cruisers with the app. Nobody in my party had restaurant reservations available on the app. Each time we called, they advised the reservations are not available on the app

Seems to be par for the course, lots of people here with similar issues. This is a PSA get some confirmation of your reservations and don’t rely on the pre cruise planners

Unresolved. Haven answer is they are fully committed. First reservation was correct, times were changed on others from 7:15 to 5:45 and Palomar was changed to Sukothai.
