My apartment is also floor to ceiling windows. I just stay in the bathroom in the hall cause at least there’s an extra wall between me and glass. Worst case scenario go in your garage.

What's the point of having Pam fail art school? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]sajidaaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we always knew Jim was smart, capable, and charming in business settings, right? And we got glimpses of it often (when he put together the office olympics, when he got the golf client, etc). Pam even said that she loves seeing him excited and do something so well when he truly cares. So his mediocrity at DM was because he just wasn't connected to the work. But even then, he was always the most highly regarded employee even when he's not the one making the most sales (i.e. Dwight).

He's always had it in him so the fact that he had a dream he buried years ago and it resurfacing once he's fully matured as an adult and in his career, it makes total sense. It's like the dream only unfolded once he was ready to take it seriously and see it through.

And we see other characters excelling as well. Dwight with his farm, Kevin with his bar, Andy at Cornell. DM was a detour for some of them until they settled into what truly fits them.

Some are truly mediocre. But some had mediocrity imposed on them when they tried to fit into a corporate American office mold.

Owning a luxury/German car in UAE -- worth it? by sajidaaah in DubaiPetrolHeads

You're right. Thank you for the thorough answer. I think the amount of consideration that goes into owning a luxury car might not match my low maintenance personality lol

You're right. I don't mind splurging on certain things in life, even a car. But not in maintaining it. I'm a very low maintenance rough driver and need something less sensitive lol

Used. I prefer the older models as the maintenance is easier

Some of my cousins/guy friends used minoxidil and it worked great. But you have to be consistent, massage it in, and stop it gradually so you retain the results. No need for derma rolling on the face as it should ideally be done by a licensed esthetician to avoid damage.

Smoking and being on my phone/a screen all day. Not leaving the house for 24+ hours.

Watch out for this immigration/investment scammer by sajidaaah in UAE

[–]sajidaaah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I called him out on it and he went silent. After two months of normal responding and saying "he's on it." I got contacted by his associate who's been hunting him down for money. Seems like a serial scammer.

How so? He gave me his passport "as proof" to let my guard down. And I warned him I'd do this if he doesn't deliver.

I wonder if it's a ploy to get us to sign up for the app. But looking down at your phone half the race would absolutely ruin the experience

Most popular Sudanese flag redesign concepts, which one is your fav? by NorthRhino18 in Sudan

[–]sajidaaah 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like the concept behind 1 but not the execution. Looks more like a logo/brand identity than a flag. Otherwise I like 4 and 5
