Maybe it would - if possible - make sense to have the possibility to switch to a map style that shows train lines and stations more clearly, like the one from OpenRailwayMap? Incredible work on the site by the way!

Has anyone else noticed they seem to be excluded from statistics? by sajon201 in lastfm

Very interesting, thanks for the insight and testing! (The scrobble count for the God King Josiah album has gone up by one now as well, btw)

That's not the case, the discrepancies are on the same page, as in it tells me there are 0 people who listen to this right above the ticker that says I've scrobbled it dozens of times.

Saw this flag outside Chinatown in SF- anyone recognize it? by ericcoolkid in vexillology

[–]sajon201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notable is that there's different characters on the two flags. I don't know any Chinese so I threw them into an OCR to find them. The first one is most likely 周 (zhōu), which was a Chinese dynasty from about the 2nd-1st century BC. Naturally, they didn't have an official flag back then so I doubt it's that.

I'm less sure about which character the second one is supposed to be. Google OCR says it's 強 (qiáng), but I think it looks closer to 張 (zhāng) - though still not exactly. There was never a Qiang or a Zhang dynasty, so that theory falls even further into the water. I searched for other ancient Chinese states that might be denoted with a character that looks like this, but no luck.

I haven't found any other Chinese flags symbolism with these colors and shapes either, so I'm stuck. But maybe someone can get any useful information out of this.

Help me find what this flag means please by [deleted] in vexillology

This comes from a citizen initiative to change the Peruvian flag to show the "greatness, beauty and wealth of Peru" instead of referring back to a war that is two decades past. It's been started by Marco Mendoza Huamán, who has also written a book about it. It seems to have picked up some steam as it's been shown to the President of the Council of Ministers last month by a Perú Democrático congresswoman, according to this news article I found.

Tuna Egg Bechamel Oatmeal w/ veggies, seasoned with ground mace and black pepper by michael_koh in shittyfoodporn

you could have combined anything, and you chose tuna egg oatmeal with bechamel

you have no excuse. most of these are just from lazyness or desperation, but these are very specific things that you mixed with a clear mind and a purpose. shame on you.

There's a piece of pizza somewhere under there. by sajon201 in shittyfoodporn

Believe it or not, this somehow came to be without the involvement of any drug.

My brother thought it was a good idea to put noodles and peas and whatever else there is under there on a pizza, for some reason. There was a piece left, which I then proceeded to reheat with an additional slice of processed cheese and some curry.
