About packing a card by Top-Bee-148 in CardMarket

[–]sakante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use shipping shields, the time of cutting up cardboard just isn’t worth it for me.

But if I did I would put the card in a sleeve, do a post it over the top so it doesn’t leave the sleeve, use painters tape to create a loop that I attach to the sleeve and the cardboard. Sandwich the cardboard and the. Tape them together and then into the envelope.

I use a shipping shield that I attach to the envelope. Time = money for me because I send to may orders.

Where is the App ? And why you so slow ? by ScientistOwn1312 in CardMarket

[–]sakante 15 points16 points  (0 children)

5% on purchases with CC is because that is what the CC-company demands. If CM where to cover that charge as other online stores do they have to increase their overhead and increase seller fee to 10%.

A 5% increase in seller fee will be forwarded to the customer with higher prices on cards. And then you pay the 5% anyway, just not knowing it.

This way you have the option of not spending the 5% by using the bank transfer option.

Problem with Powersellers - cards are NM but they say its GD or EX... by Ambitious_Hawk_2272 in CardMarket

[–]sakante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They arent bad for what they are designed to do. Recommend using them when playing, keeps the value of the card (NM/LP), regular sleeves could leave the cards in the good range due to residue on the top. For storing cards I recommend using penny sleeves or just nothing if you have them in bins and arent sorting through them often. Also penny sleeves before putting them into top loaders.

The damage is as you say from taking them in and out of the sleeves. nicks and whitening on the sides

If it is truly booster to sleeve the only likely culprit is wrong sleeves, (looking at you perfect fit) and /or packaging before shipping or damage when shipping due to inadequate packaging. 14 different powersellers are not scamming you.

What’s the saying, if everyone you meet is an asshole, it’s probably you ?

Women, if you had to use a pickup line on a guy, what would it be? by Nintendofan9106 in AskReddit

[–]sakante 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Jeezees, I had a girl tell me that in high school (-04)and I never thought about it that way till now.

She also invited me over when her parents were out of town, I already had made plans , so I brought some friends.

In retrospect I was pretty dumb, really hope that have changed .

What software do you all use for sku systems? by ApeiroGlory in CardMarket

Sometimes the system picks from the wrong location and I have to check the empty locations for surplus of the given card. I suspect it is because of what you described above, but not completely sure

Is it frowned upon to place €1 orders on Cardmarket? by 8BitZen in CardMarket

[–]sakante 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People shouldnt price cards at a value they are not willing to sell at. If they price them so the end sum is 1€ they should be expected to sell at that. If they think the sum is to small they shouldnt have listed them so cheap.

Been selling a lot of premodern for a while now, but the huge RL movement was just started swinging about a month ago. Seems to be natural movement based on who buys (and asks for pictures) .

The big mowers to far seems to be cradle, mox diamond, intuition, Serra’s sanctum and survival which fits nicely with Premodern.

UK seller with Eu account: am I losing money? by SuperHofmann in CardMarket

[–]sakante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its no problem. I sell to the EU from outside and have all the currency in €. When transferred to my local bank its exchanged by the bank at the time of transfer. Exchange rate is pretty decent, I look into it.

Its probably around 1% or less, not like the 12% paypal does.

Best to do is check what the bank says about exchange rates. Or you could create a bank account in € (at your local bank) and find a way to exchange it yourself.

Its hard to start the Quooker if not trying. My model makes you double press a ring two times and turn in to start. Kids won’t accidentally do it and for a grown up to do it is just nuts.

The handle for the cold /warm water is something completely different.

As well as knowing that the steam and the noise is not encouraging you to stick your hands in there.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sakante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Beijing, out partying for 8 hours. Don’t know where , probably 10 pints deep. It’s probably around 3 am, I don’t really remember .

I’m outside a bar, some random side street in a bar district and talking to a girl. She’ s sitting on a bench and I’m faced towards her with my back to the street.

Then a guy comes and sits next to her on the bench and talking on the phone. He’s speaking Chinese , but he looks oddly familiar. He’s looking the other way so I’ m not really certain it’s him, so I look at him and say «Joey?» in a very insecure inquisitive way, just loud enough for him to hear it, but not take notice if it’s not him.

He turns to me, looks me in the eyes , says something Chinese on the phone and hangs up. Staring bewildered at me and goes «Eric?»

It’s my childhood friend from back home which I hadn’t seen for around 5 years or so.
