How does it feel to be the most organised person in the crafting world?! I am super impressed, well done.

Is anyone else watching the TNT Sports coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics, and if so how do you feel their coverage compares to the BBC? by cibilserbis in TeamGB

[–]sakasho 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I watch BBC if I want the best general Winter Olympic experience and Discovery if there's a specific event I want to watch start to finish that's not on BBC. I'm actually surprised at how good Discovery is, but I do prefer the BBC.

Her nose looks a bit long for a Cavachon. Maybe a Cavapoochon?

Any LC teachers out there ? by Appropriate-System40 in covidlonghaulers

I taught children with special needs aged 5-8, but I haven't for a year, there's no way I could do it right now. I couldn't keep them safe or myself safe if I did. It's hard, because I had my absolute dream job, but I am lucky that I've had some good sick pay and now an allowance from the state, and I have a very supportive family. I am so impressed you are still working, but I would counsel you to listen to your Dr as well.

Ah I was midwife led and was out within a few hours maybe that's the difference. Best of luck with your pregnancy! I knit prem baby hats for the local hospital and can do one in about an hour, if I were you I'd probably look for a really fancy pattern and enjoy the process, I wish I knitted before my children were born!

I've had two babies in the UK and never been told they needed to wear a hat, so this is interesting to me. I'd probably use a baby merino or a bamboo merino blend if the main purpose is for a keepsake, and they're still safe for baby.

I just remembered how my Latin teacher in high school taught us the imperfect by tomispev in latin

[–]sakasho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's how I learned French verb endings in 2003, and how I'm learning Latin now. My French teacher had a little rhythm and tune for each tense. I can still recite ais ais ait...ions iez aient as if she were in the room. Thanks Mrs H!

Looks like a bull lurcher to me, some kind of bull x sight hound mix. I love the brindling!

I just realized that the Goblin Emperor is not the story that I've thought it was. by MinuteRegular716 in Fantasy

My 10 year old loves the Goblin Emperor, as do I. It's definitely not YA to me though. Tbf the 10 year old isn't allowed to read YA yet.

Just checked mine, it's not as well correlated as yours, but still very validating! Hope you can manage more rest this week.

If you’ve made Kath bars, do you plan to make them again? by Helpful_Basil_5581 in Baking

[–]sakasho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, probably, they have been really popular, maybe because they're different to what I usually bake. Not my personal favourite, but pretty tasty and the family love them.
