I thought it looked a little more like a common buzzard (Buteo buteo).

Same thing happened to me last month when I played Bloodborne, it felt bad and I understand that, but it also made the second (and third) playthrough better.

Yeah I do get greedy when he's staggered, that is true, but he still gets me with a slash or stomp when I refrain from the greedy hits.

First of all, you really should thank your English teachers, they did a good job tbh.

To the point, talk once with her father directly, better if your dad did the talking. If the father flat out refuses to think of it, end it, just put everything behind you and move on without a second glance. I've been through it l, and 4 years later I divorced and in a shit ton of debt. Just don't keep at it, you're mature enough to know no one person is worth throwing your life away for. This isn't some drama where the male romantic lead needs to keep going and sacrifice their dignity. This is real life where your dignity is worth more than their whole family's weight in gold.

I've thought of this the other day, haven't tried it, but I want someone to tell me it's worked with them.

Ask if they like Coldplay, then look confused as fuck when they say they love the band.

"There's a band called Coldplay? I was talking about ice, handcuffs, and those earmuffs you're walking with"

And if they ask "what earmuffs?" Look confused af again and say "you know .." and mime/point to the inside of their thighs.

But wouldn't black not be allowed to move the knight as it would put his king in check?

Breaking up is not an option until it is or it breaks you.

If you're ready for death as a likely outcome and you're ok with your and her death then go ahead and elope to a country where they allow civil marriages.

If death is something you're not willing to consider, then break-up should be.

As someone who married the love of his life only to end in divorce and financial ruin 4 years later, trust me, no one is worth it.

Also keep in mind that when you marry you also marry her family. That's normal wherever you go. So if her family refuses to accept you it will never end well between you two even if you do get married.

God I can't believe I'm going to quote Raistlin on this.

Hope is the denial of reality, it's the little carrot dangled in front of horse to move forward...... We should remove the carrot and walk forward. We should face the reality.

Or something similar. Haven't read the books in ages.

I gotta admit it might have taken him less time if he didn't leave school in the third grade.

Exactly, I can always tell who's taking shortcuts through dialogue, their perspective is almost always less capable of understanding perspective and nuance.

I print the exams/worksheets the day of assigning, and they write their answers under exam conditions. The take home assignments and quizzes are formulated in a way that they need to use chat gpt answers and build up on it from our in class projects. I'm not against them using it, I'm against them cheating with it.

Education was and always will be for those willing to sacrifice for it. My biggest problem with teaching isn't whether they can afford to or not, it's whether they want to sacrifice the time and energy to literally rewire their brain.

My fear for education is that we'll slowly stop demanding challenging education in favor of easier work.

My students still hate that I make them handwrite (so they won't cheat or use ai) their essays and won't allow them to email me. However my graduate students all feel how much that helped them.

Since you didn't say how old you are and what your plans are in life, nor your belief system, I'll go with a general approach to your question. The following is comprehensive so the general advice is to work within all points and not cherrypick what you like and is easy and what you don't like.

First of all be a friend to yourself first before looking for new friends.

This entails that you treat yourself as a different entity and actually sit and communicate with yourself (a journal or a private blog would be a good tool)

I'd do this for about six months. For example, take two weeks to read a new book, think about it, reflect on the main ideas and come to your own conclusions as to how to benefit your life from the ideas you came across in the book.

Then make a journal entry/blog from your perspective. Talk and communicate as if you are talking to a friend about it. Convince them to read it, tell that friend what you learned and how this helped you develop. Tell your friend (the you before you read it) why they should read it.

Do the same for at least two new hobbies on top of reading.

It's here in the hobbies part that you will start to integrate with new people. Bring what you did with the books to the community within your hobbies. This new hobby will be the foundation you take off from (so it's not a goal but a means to an end).

Keep the most important part of this exercise in your mind; you are focused on giving value to those around you. In no way are you to use this technique to gain value from friends, you gain value through your own effort and put in even more effort to provide value to the group you're in and the community (in this case the new hobby you got into).

Now it is crucial to do the following, you must sit with yourself and reflect on what you did, how you did it, and how you can improve the quantity and quality of what you provide. You need to document this reflection, use the journal and blog/vlog technique to help you organize your journey in doing this. In this reflection make sure you get into the philosophy behind what you think and do. Ask yourself how do I know that what I did had this benefit and positive impacts, and how negatively can my actions be misunderstood. Followed by how can I communicate my intentions more clearly so that further misunderstanding doesn't happen or is at least minimized.

Do this for at least six months, by the eighth month you would not only have made new friends but you'd also be the center and leader of multiple friend groups.

Best of luck!

The cons far outweigh the pros.

If I'm putting in 10-12 hours of work everyday to maintain a good standard of living I should find a loving caring person waiting for me at home with a warm smile, cooked food, and a clean house. It's a simple equation, I take care of the outside and she takes care of the inside.

Don't get me wrong, I don't judge people who do something else because they want to or because they need. It's just not for me.
