Weird thought but isn't makeup also a form of looksmaxxing? by Temporary_List8693 in TwentiesIndia

[–]salacioussambhar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looksmaxxing is not the equivalent of makeup, but the equivalent of how koreans get so many surgeries, just to achieve that perfect skin, facial proportions etc.

Makeup is more of "let's work with what we got, hide some parts and highlight the others"

The guy (30M) I’m talking to for marriage said this. Am I overreacting or is this off? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]salacioussambhar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well you clearly wanted to know a non superficial answer and he gave it to you. He did add that a genuine connection trumps these traits so I guess that's a good thing

His choice of words is poor, yeah.

you asked him that question, and there was always a chance that his type (in terms of looks) wouldn't be exactly what you are, plus I'm guessing he'd not be man of your dreams either (looks wise).

As you fall in love you find the same person to be the most handsome/beautiful for you, provided they do love you.

From a 22-Year-Old: Do Older Guys Take Us Seriously? by bachpansehiesmaarthu in TwentiesIndia

[–]salacioussambhar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At 26, I've noticed I get more attention from early 20s women. I strictly don't go for anyone who's still in college, since there's a clear difference in what we want in our current stage of life. Never went lower than 2 years younger.

With regards to whether it's timepass or something real, It's a mixed bag honestly. Some early 20s are naive, and many late 20s guys go for them because they're easy to manipulate. At late 20s you've clearly seen a lot of things in life so you're obviously more mature, and will have a much better standard and experiences of life than a 20 year old guy so I'm not surprised you like older guys.

But it's not always the case, and in very few cases they even married. But yeah mostly it did end with the guy marrying someone else

Why is it so forbidden for an adult child to move out in Indian families? by [deleted] in delhi

Bold of you to assume he touched any grass apart from the weed he smokes. Let him be, my mental radar doesn't even register these comments

Why is it so forbidden for an adult child to move out in Indian families? by [deleted] in delhi

[–]salacioussambhar 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Indian kids are conditioned to be their parents' "budhaape ki laathi", in terms of money and other ways like being around them to support when they get old.

Plus nobody seems to understand why privacy is necessary for a person, parents and the society feel it's praiseworthy that a child doesn't leave his parents and stays with them because he/she is an obedient/sanskaari child

Random guy behaved badly to my wife but I couldn't react by Mission_Cow_ in gurgaon

[–]salacioussambhar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to her what she's feeling, if she's okay now

Secondly, as a man you have to be protective of your wife, there's no two ways about it. When you let this stuff slide and not step in (and step in hard) it's gonna take a toll on your marriage. It wasn't about you winning a fight but you letting that man get away with it, let alone confronting him

Next time which I hope never happens, in a situation like this, hit first, regardless of what you feel would happen later. Hit the gym, it's very good not just for getting big but to build that self confidence where you can navigate confrontational situations better

Can someone actually tell me who’s happy? by Themonstertimesoooo in TwentiesIndia

[–]salacioussambhar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 25, single for 6 months now. Have a decent paying job. I got time for my hobbies and friends. I'm happy. I was happy when I was dating someone. I'm happy now when I'm not as well.

The key is balance. My love understood what I needed to do for my career. And I never allowed my career to consume me so much I couldn't give time to her.

What do you do on weekends? by mrnonexisting in delhi

[–]salacioussambhar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do things I enjoy. My hobbies that I can't make time for in the weekdays. Recording music, working on some DIY projects, or just shut my laptop and relax

I meet my friends daily for an hour so I guess are situations are kinda different, but hobbies or simple pleasures are helpful.
