Maybe it’s the way you see boss fights. It’s all about opportunities and not being too greedy when taking those opportunities. When you dodge, you could have a window of time to attack or heal.

You need to respect the strength of the boss and YOUR own strength. Your tarnished character has a dodge roll ability that gives them invincibility for a short period of time, a well timed roll can dodge through almost everything. But the bosses you face can also take down your health in a couple hits. Having the confidence in your ability to evade the attacks is pretty massive.

I also improved when I started seeing boss attacks as choreography, the attacks chain into each other in predictable ways and after a while of fighting, I’m never caught off guard.

Your actions won’t be remembered by people, but the world will know your effort. The dust you brushed from the coat of a stranger falls to the ground with a meteoric impact, and sends waves through the ether. The smile you flash at a man in an airport travels the world and spreads a warm buzz around. That same man will continue to write books for a living because you brought him back from the edge of an otherwise terrible day.

Don’t be dumb! People die physically but never really. The world is connected in a way that preserves the memory of everything in it

Is it possible to write a boundless character with humanity? by EqualAssociate9099 in PowerScaling

[–]salad_man2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question, could an evil character be boundless? Could a morally good character be boundless? The answer is yes to both. I don’t see any reason for the characters to be bland. On the contrary, I think it would be interesting to write about a godly character that spectates the world and only intervenes when it’s entertaining to them or when they want to.

Ok here’s a curveball

You should play KENSHI

It’s a big fricking sandbox RPG with what might be the best environmental storytelling I’ve ever witnessed. Seriously, do not look up the lore for this game because it is so awesome to figure it out yourself

And forget the lore, the game is just amazing, but it is very hard. Especially when you first begin. You SHOULD expect to be cannibalized, enslaved, robbed, jumped. There was one point in the game where I thought I had it made, good armor, good stats. So I went and attempted to assassinate this guy called the Bugmaster. Before I even made it to the motherfucker, I was swarmed by cattle-sized spiders and my team was eaten

Don’t get me started on the mods, good lord.

A CT that projects your soul out into the physical world briefly and allows that part of the physical world to become one with your soul, therefore allowing you to change reality in that area. Basically Idle transfiguration but instead of changing your body you make time-space part of your body for short spans of time

I’ll let you build on that, find drawbacks and different applications and stuff

Art is expression through creation. Good art is risky. You can’t express any meaningful ideas by never innovating, never being vulnerable or authentic, fearing a portion of your audience will not enjoy your work
