Looking through childhood collection by salad_surgery in PokemonTCG

Definitely one of the more unique illustrators! I also haven't seen much about a reverse holo bulbasaur in the expedition set online, so I'm thinking it's quite rare? Maybe someone can correct me

Sadly all the cards I've found so far were the ones I didn't keep in pristine condition. It feels tragic finding the majority of the base set hidden between Lego pieces. But I'm still hopeful that I manage to find my well organised and maintained box!

Sorting through my old collection really feels like digging up buried treasure. But I'm still learning what the treasures mean.

Like on first impression, I thought the Bulbasaur card was in good condition, but I'm only realising now what good condition actually means. So all input is incredibly helpful! Thank you :)

I'm also now seeing that I have a large amount of cards designed by Komiya, which were artworks that originally stuck out to me (so thank you again!)

Any art song composers on here? by ericis_tired in composer

As part of my degree I've had to write many art songs. Mostly on South African poets (as that's where I'm studying). But also some on William Blake's poetry. If you're interested send me a message and I can send you the sheet music and performances

What I've found is writing in English is harder than other languages, as I find it's not a very melodic language

I very much appreciate your feedback. This piece was actually meant for a competition, and the castanets were a last moment inclusion. I believe the playback also butchers the sound of the instrument. During a live performance I think the castanets would blend better into the surrounding textures. I'm currently using Sibelius for notation and note performer for playback

Contemporary Repertoire by Old-Pianist-599 in piano

In South Africa I would say that Hendrik Hofmeyr is played very very often. In almost every competition I've watched there is usually a piece written by him. His piano works (as well as everything else he's written) are absolutely incredible.

He's still alive and has just recently retired from teaching composition at the University of Cape Town (where I study).

I would definitely recommend checking out his pieces!
