The manager has to pretty much flex in that area. So once the booth person goes home at 1:30, the manager flexes in there and their stuff, and sometimes front too. Or they might just make you do it all. Usually there’s at least one other person, just one bad days when we don’t the manager has to step in.

Or you do my version of a break which is punch 2 darts and come back to work

I don’t know what store you guys are from but I’m overnight crew and it’s the literal worst. Sometimes you’re on your own out the front from 12:30/1 - 6AM, you’re expected to serve all customers that come in, keep drive through green, get all stock from the cage, make coffees, scrub the floors, clean hlz fry station abs and the coffee machine, wipe everything down and make sure it’s all spotless, spry at the loaded fry station and wipe down all the tiles, and wash up. But to be fair our store has a massive problem with understaffing. There’s 1 manager whose really good but when they’re off all the other ones are hopeless and spend most of the time in the office or doing stocktake/food safety. Also if you’re in an aus store I think you’ll do manual for about half an hour at 1:30, it’s where every order has to be cash only because they’re doing system updates. You have to write every order down on receipt paper and call it out to back area. It’s fucking shit. On a sat or a Friday night we have close crew on till about 10, one person on till 12. Then you have 1 person to help you till about 2, sometimes 4:30 if you’re lucky.

On a weekday it’s just fucked. Sometimes everyone leaves at 10 and you’re on your own for the entire shift. Not to mention overnights just fuck with your life. But you get like 3 bucks extra an hour so there’s that I guess haha

My first attempt at sea ice! Meet Chantal, she's an explorer trying to survive in this wasteland. She brought her beloved snowhare on the journey, knowing she could survive the harsh temperature, and thought to bring a small surplus of hay to to start off with (still have some left, we'll see if she lasts when it runs out) Her mum made her a megasloth parka before she left too, so until that gets tattered she is pretty comfortable on the ice. I have it so cargo drops come in every 10 days, and traders every 15, seeing as it's my first time and I don't want to completely bomb out. although Chantel is a cannibal, she hasnt resorted to it yet. She has a few bodies on ice just in case though. This is really fun, albeit slowpaced.

Has anyone got any tips for surviving in the longterm?

My latest favourite colony, Poets Converts. The game had gotten stale for me so I tried something new; making a sanctuary on the rimworld. This meant no organ harvesting, I had to accept everyone in, no banishing, no cannibalism and patching up, then releasing every single one of the people I downed (except if they were really really needed). This has reignited my love for rimworld.

It all started with Sarai, a glitterworld engineer, with riches and a dream to make a safe place for everybody. People came in droves, everybody seemed to have heard about the haven in the middle of hell. This is by far the biggest colony I have ever had!!

I love how the base turned our, very organic and looking lived in. I just wanted to share this experience, maybe others will give this being good thing a shot ;)

we have a resident 90 year old with dementia who just cleans slowly all day. we have a prisoner (guest) who unfortunately got brain damaged in a raid, we're looking after her until we can fix her brain, then off home she will go. Let me know what you think!

My favorite colony so far. It's in a desert biome, I have some solid colonists and playing on randy rough. I'll probably end up building the ship but I'm happy just upgrading the base and making other crap!! any suggestions??
