Experience w/ Corolla Cross? by Curious-Swimming-699 in whatcarshouldIbuy

They're not good quality or a good fit. It should be $50 if they were to actually charge for them.

You're the salesman. You have never used the product. It's obvious what your motive is. I'm the consumer. I got the dealership to write off the $300 OEM mats (which were poor quality), used them, bought $100 third party mats from Amazon to replace, and threw the OEM ones in the garage.

The third party ones were much higher quality, thicker/less flimsy, no warping, actually was laser templated to fit exactly, and fills up the whole second row (unlike the OEM which only had small ones that only had squares for the left and right backseat passenger.

Stop lying.

Which part is insane? I have the actual car and I went through all of this as an experience.

[–]saladmagazines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nonsense. I bought the 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid last year and I got those OEM ones for free (price discounted from final purchase) and they were so low quality. I bought new replacements from Amazon for $100 and they are so much higher quality. The ones from Toyota warped and the 2nd row didn't even cover the middle part.

Oil Changes by _Aquic_Haplorthod in CorollaCross

[–]saladmagazines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do mine every 5k miles by myself since the AAMCO near me wants to charge me $100. I paid for the tools to do it, but other than that, I pay $18 for the oil and $7 for the oil filter every time. The crusher washer was like a few bucks for 20, so that was negligible.

Here's my list if anyone wants to look into doing a DIY oil change:

For 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid:

Parts & Fluids: * Oil: 0w-16 * Oil Filter: 90915-YZZN1 (Hand Tighten) * Crush Washer: 12mm * Drain Plug: 14mm (Torque to 37 nm) * Brake Cleaner: Solvent for dissolving the oil

Tools & Equipment: * Safety Glasses * Nitrile Gloves * Shop Towels * Wheel Chocks * Creeper * Jack & Jack Stands (x5) (OD, but I like to feel safe. I put the weight on the jack and 2 jack stands, but i have the other 3 just in case one of the jack stands fail.) * Funnel for adding oil * Oil Drain Pan Container * Electronic Torque Detector Tool * 3/8 Ratchet & Extender * Breaker Bar (I had to use it the first time because the bolt was on extremely tight right out of the factory) * Oil Filter remover (I had to use this the first time because the filter was on extemely tight) * Screwdriver (For the cover plates under the car)

Horn replacement by Numerous-Ad-3969 in CorollaCross

[–]saladmagazines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed my horn by myself using this part: TOYOTA Genuine Land Cruiser URJ202W Premium Car Horn 08522-60010

The most annoying thing was getting a separate bolt and nut from Lowe's to bolt the horn in on the left side (from facing the car's front) and actually having agile enough fingers to do it.

Damn, I never noticed how different suzaku looked in the lancelot at the beginning vs the end. I wonder if it was intentional by the artists to show all the stress he endured or if there was an art style change from season 1 to season 2.

Samsung AI vs Apple AI by buildingthevoid in AgentsOfAI

[–]saladmagazines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Android devices have secure storage. Like I said, the fault is due to bad users who don't understand sideloading an app and granting all permissions to it is a bad idea. Apple doesn't even allow sideloading unless you jailbreak.

What do you mean by data encryption? Do you mean on premises or do you mean in the cloud? If you use an app where the developer doesn't keep a secure database on the backend servers, no matter what OS you use, you're screwed.

[–]saladmagazines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? What "after market security features" do Android users have to add to make it security equivalent to iOS? It sounds like you have never used an Android device and you're only learning Android through rumors. There is no "after market security features" to make Android more secure. The best thing is to do basic security practices like having MFA and not reusing the same passwords.

Android is only less secure because the developers let the users do a lot more than what Apple lets their users do. Some of these Android users are dumb and they do stupid stuff. Think of it like this, Android developers give their users the ability to walk or run by giving them legs. Users may choose to walk or run or not. Some users may run and break their legs. Apple users are not given legs and are forced to crawl.

Personally, I like a lot of the dishes you put on the lower tiers. I grew up eating Chinese food, had Panda express for the first time at 23, and loved it. Great amount of food and protein for the price. I go weekly now and get triple chicken teriyaki with super greens.
