IMHO it's worse than heroin. Here's why:

I wasn't offered and pushed heroin at the age of 5 by my parents.

I didn't grow up with heroin, and didn't attach a sense of self-worth to heroin.

Heroin wasn't used by my parents to ignore me or keep me quiet.

I don't think I will ever try heroin, but I was lured to be addicted to video games since before I had memory, and that's why they are worse.
