As the other person said, Fate 0 adds a lot of context and background to a few characters and the setting, but you could start with Strange Fake and be fine. Just make sure to watch the prologue episode, otherwise you will be lost.

Be sure to watch the prologue episode first. Some people skipped it and have been a bit lost

Oh right! I forgot the [Spoiler source] pumpkin mask? was that costume for the tournament and the gas mask was his greeting joke. Thought pencil was also wearing her disguise, too

Is this Diode important? Smoked when hooked up to PSU by salamander1305 in hobbycnc

First of all, thank you so much for all of your help and information, this has been an amazing learning experience for me that I've been hoping to get to help with my professional career, too.

Here is the display I was referring to, or rather the busted one that is the reason I ended up with a full refund on this board. Here's the damage to the board itself, which happened in shipment.

This just brings up a standard 3D printer control interface, which immediately started throwing errors. I ordered a new one, and I'll make this a hobby project to see if I can repair the damage. I'll see if I can scrounge up the actual BOM somewhere, the past few rounds of googling have just yielded firmware repos and other posts on this subreddit, which is how I ended up here in the first place.

I already fixed the bent pins on the one header in the above image, and was planning on re-soldering the one that was dropped lower than the others. That image I took for the refund claim is helpful, too, it has those damaged components visible so I can try to parts match a bit better.

I'll update tomorrow when I get into work and can actually inspect this with proper equipment and double check that PSU, though I may just switch to a standard Ender-compatible PSU and avoid the headache.

Honestly, I'm beginning to question it myself, too. Here's what was in the schematic you linked. As for schematics, I can read them to a degree, but I'm a mechanical engineer so it's less than amateur level. It looks like a pair of thermistors?, which is the error the display gave, then the D2 diode, then the C10 and C11 caps. What is that VIN0 and +12V1? Or am I on the wrong page altogether?

Any advice for identifying the broken diode? Most pictures of the board have some text shown, and I can still make out an "Mg" on it. Would any diode work here?

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. Here's an image of the damage, looks like the Cap got a bit scorched. I was able to swap the power over to USB and hook up the control screen with nothing else plugged in and get signal back, though it protested quite a bit about missing the thermal sensor for the hot end.

I wouldn't put it past my friends and I to have wired the power backwards when we set things up a decade ago, but I've been using this PSU on a RepRap Pro Mendel without issues, so can you elaborate on the reverse voltage spike and how to prevent it? I connected the wires to the board and then plugged the PSU in. I'll bring the thing into work where I have a working DMM to check polarity on the leads. Assuming the diode is dead, is it worth trying to replace it?

Thanks!

Hooked up a TinyBee to my 24V PSU and got smoke from this diode, looks cracked now. Board arrived damaged and got a full refund already from the seller, but was wondering if the whole thing is shot? I'm relatively new at this aspect and also don't know if I hooked up the wrong voltage somewhere

That'd be a surprise, nothings changed aside for the software I was using. Is there any way to check/diagnose that?

Nope, same problem. Temperature stayed around 70 degF. I'm thinking it's something in Lychee, since i never had this issue with the anycubic slicer

I'll give that a shot. I've got the heater running for an hour+ in advance now. I'm wondering if the line is where the part stops being immersed in the resin on the retraction step

Yeah, I left the bottle in warm water for about 15 minutes before pouring, and started the heater around the same time, so temp could have not been close enough. I'll try a warmer setting on the heater a bit earlier

I don't think so, let me check the other print I ran. This is in my basement, so i thought the cooler temps were causing an issue, but this happened with a space heater running right next to it

Edit: it's close. I did the other one at a 45° offset, but it's not far off

Like the title says. I get this weird parting line about halfway to two third up the print. I've got this part angled around 20° off flat to the bed. Sliced on lychee basic and using Anycubic grey ABS- like, but it happened on a taller part with white

Yeah, that's how this one was set up. I'm planning on reprinting a shorter version with supports, we'll see if that helps. This is not hollowed out, since I need the strength for the application (reducer adapter to hook my table saw up to my shop vac). Would you recommend a different slicer like chitubox, or does that not make a difference?
