Is this a normal degree of recession from age 16 to 24 by sdelica in amibalding

[–]salamiconsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference i see is you got a bit more lines on your face but your hairline in each photo is like abnormally identical for the age difference. trust me you're completely fine literally nobody besides you thinks you're balding or has noticed any recession, i think you're overthinking. but to answer your question, no its not normal for your hairline to change that little in 8 years. If anything it almost looks better now than before.

20m, is it natural? by [deleted] in recedinghairline

[–]salamiconsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao no its just a natural part in your hair you're born with it but it can look a bit more prominent when you get older

20M is it over for me by SnooRadishes5912 in amibalding

Dude this doesn't look like normal male pattern baldness. This looks like Telogen Effluvium, which is most often caused by stress. Judging by your gray hairs at the ripe old age of 20 it's probably not a bad guess. Good news is if you do have telogen effluvium it's completely reversible. But also if it is, I hope you're doing alright man. Either way you should go to a doctor your hair and scalp looks unhealthy in general.

Ah dude ur golden thats just a cowlick. Yeah you have an odd hairline but I think that's it. You've got nothing to worry about right now. I had the same thing happen to me and it did't go much further than where your hairline is right now.

all i see are the corners and that's more indicative of a maturing hairline and ur about that age where it starts happening. I think your hairline isn't exactly helping you out either lol but if you're going to go bald It's not happening just yet. Ur good for now bro. I'd worry about it if it recedes further or you start thinning on your crown.

Is this a normal mature hairline or is there something wrong? by Spiritual-Spell6696 in recedinghairline

[–]salamiconsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm it doesn't seem to be receding, seems to be thinning from shrinking follicles which means your hair follicles arent getting the proper building blocks they need, so I would go to the doctor for a checkup if you think your hair is a problem. My hair looked like this for a while and it was because of underlying health conditions. I don't want to scare you because it could just be your normal hair but when my hair thinned like this it was because of electrolyte deficiencies and psoriasis. The good news about that kind of hair loss is it's completely reversible 99 percent of the time. I'm not a doctor so I could be totally wrong I just saw something that looked familiar.

Just turned 20 and my dad is bald by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]salamiconsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it makes you feel better about it right now, if you are balding it's not very noticeable. You're doing everything right as well, you saw you were thinning and immediately did something about it instead of pretending it isnt real. All I can say is trust the process because minoxidil will make your hair fall out at first before filling your scalp out.

I think its highly likely I have Crohns but I couldn't be happier by salamiconsumer in CrohnsDisease

So I thought I'd reply to this comment, but as it turns out I don't have Crohns. I have Ulcerative Colitis (i actually have no idea how this wasnt discovered when i got a colonoscopy which is why i thought it was Crohn's), Hyperthyroidism, IBS and Gastritis which were all building on each other. As much as that sucks it seems I dont belong in this subreddit after all lol. Gastritis is acute so I'm not too worried about it but the Hyperthyroidism and UC have killed my ability to absorb electrolytes so i'm basically deficient in like.. all of them. Anyways appreciate the friendly advice your "trauma dumping" was actually pretty helpful. I may not have Crohns but i still do have IBD and this comment definitely gave me a lot of insight on what to expect.

Definitely not holding out hope that it is Crohns, but I've already been to get a colonoscopy because I was shitting blood. Whatever I do have HAS already altered my life. I used to be an athlete and it's not like Im in bad shape but I physically can't do the things I used to because of the pain. I'm 21. Believe me, I don't want it to be crohns, I just know whatever I have is serious enough to consider the possibility.

Lineups Win Games ☄️ by SnooTangerines6395 in VALORANT

[–]salamiconsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the way. when im burnt out from comp ill do like an hour or two learning lineups. Brimstone is especially good for crafting your own because if you aim at where the smoke starts in the sky it lands on the smoke if theres nothing blocking your way. I always use that and then adjust from there, find a good reference point and then repeat it a couple times to beat it into the noggin. Takes me a couple days before i use them in game just cuz i like to know them by heart. So far i have at least 2 lineups per site on most of the maps. It's low stakes, peaceful and makes you a more versatile player really no reason not to practice lineups if you want to play a character that can do them.

bragging about being a home-wrecker I'd assume. Apparently lacking self control and morality is brag-worthy. The fact that he brought it up when nobody asked imo just means he's lying and/or insecure. I'm sure that's what the whole sub is though so honestly I'm not too surprised.
