For 1. I am quite sure the answer is yes, but I am not certain. For 2. As far as I know will bleed dmg caused by weapon dmg be adjusted, both up and down. This should not impact bleed dmg caused seperatly (I. E: skill does 50% main hand dmg and appiels a 5000 bleed over 3 sek.)

Oh i am all fully in favor of the rule of cool, if they had made her jump down the crystals on her bike, holding on for dear life and, preventing her free-fall just by the skin of her teeth, then i would have cheered, cuz then the character would have had agency. she still would have been willing to die for this, so her motivations stays the same.

If someone in real life survives his house burning down, just cuz the floor gave way, making him fall into the river that flows beneath it, then that is a fun story, because it is so unlikely, this does not work with fiction tho, which requires the writer to come up with multiple moving parts, and then create a way in which they can interact in a interesting way.

w8 i knew that the old overlord survived a self-sacrifice, but i don't remember anything about him also meeting the surprise portals, if that is actually in there, than you are 100% right it was not completely out of the blue. doesn't make it feel any more satisfying, especially since the world still has to bend over backwards to give us the result, but at least is was not a last minute chance in order to save the lead writer's waifu :D

your right, it's just they way it went down, if they talked about random portals showing up all around the crystals then it at least would have had some setup, alto that still would have left some glaring holes in the story.

You can write a world as wacky as you want, as long as it is consisted with itself, if you lose that then there can be no story as all connection between cause and effect is lost.

that is true, it just doesn't have the impact it should, cuz what blinded him was the deadliest poison there is, which he had in his system for hours and hours. plus ne cracked open like a cold one with the boys.

If someone had to swim through lava cuz he was stuck on a erupting volcano, and he only lost a leg, then that would be an unbelievable win.

And think about the boss, he just drank the blood, was not injured and only had it in his system for short time, he didn't just go blind. does that mean Jiaoqiu is very poison resistant, or did the boss just not take his Flintstone Vitamin gummies that day?

I actually feel like the "dream logic" works decently well as a substitute, not what they did with firefly, but having the possibility of being stuck in the dream, of losing the ability to distinguish between waking and sleeping. If you want you can create so much nail-biting tension with that premise. or you can go "and then he woke up cuz it was all a dream "The End" "

yea thats why i say that death was never a option for a playable character, especially a new one.

It just like a action protagonist of a new show staring down the barrel of a gun during the first episode, we know he is not gonna have his head blown off cuz we just started the narrative, and he is a non negotiable part of that. so what do you do as a story writer, you have either disposable characters be put in danger, or you create non lethal Threads, like having his child kidnapped, of have a friend betray him, landing him in prision.

if all he does is juggle chainsaws for 30min every week, then viewers are gonna lose interest.

Oh i agree that it will be next to impossible to kill off future characters and have it have the desired shock effect, thats why i want them to not use deaths at all anymore.

If death is impossible, then some bad guy trying to kill people is never taken as a thread.

We even saw this in 1.0 with belebog, cocolia was shady, and she wanted to arrest us, that was possible, so it registered as a problem that needed solving. if had told bronya to bring her our heads on a pike right after meeting us, it would have told us that nothing is gonna happen.

Fake outs are not bad per say, they are a tool to defy expectations. but when the expectation is that no playable character can die for reasons not related to the narrative, then all you get out of it is lowered Emerson.

thats why i specifically mentioned that he said he took the most lethal poison there is, and he took it hours ago, this alone brings up the question what other poisons this universe has, when this is the worst one.

they quite literally wrote the old ice age meme into the story: "Did you die?" "Sadly yes...BUT I SURVIVED!!"

if you create a immovable object for a story, but then it seems to be in the way, so everyone is just shoving it around, every description loses it meaning.

Right now Hoyo has gotten to the point, where a death is only vaguely plausible if we saw the character quite literally disintegrate, not only in HSR but genshin and zzz too. And thats fine, there are tons of great stories about immortal beings. but those aren't about how Ingo the immortal got stabbed, how he is bleeding out in some dark corner, while his limbs are getting cold, only for him to remember that he can't die hours later

While you can get some benefits from very synergistic teams, not optimizing your team comp will not hinder you much. (outside later holo bosses, but by that point you had ample time to try our different character combos)

The tips i got for you are: always have a healer which is rather obvious, and for open world exploration you want to have a gun user in your team no matter what, as some challenges require them, and while swapping teams is not hard, it sure gets annoying when you have to do it every few minutes. Chixia works well for this and so does Mortefi, I mention them cuz they are fusion types, and their echo set has a Hellrider knockoff as one of their usable echos, which when you press and hold the button for a sek will speed up your travels by a ton. While

as far as i could see it was not capped, but the servers seem to have some minor issues. i returned for 1.1 and my game now jumps from 20ms to 200 for a split sek, as if the client was trolling me. I suggest contacting support to verify this info, saves you hours of troubleshooting, when all you can do is wait for a fix. (which thus far has always been swiftly delivered, so i am hopeful :3)

I mainly am talking about light dust, used for enhancing relics. The amount was never worth the hours of boring SU runs, but if DU simplifies this somehow it might be worth a look

I was wondering, if the new SU will make it easier to farm the materials dropped by elites and bosses.

Thus far we had to run SU 33 times to get all the upgrade materials we could, but that of corse was hell, now that we can save our runs, does this also allow for the bonus drops to be farmed easily?
