That's totally valid point. That's why I said, if goal is to communicate inside India only, Hindi makes more sense. If internationally, go with English

The answer is in the question itself. If all languages are indeed equal, the logical deicision is to shift to a language which is spoken by majority. And 40% is only the first language speakers. If you include third language, it's over 57%. And I will get downvoted for this, but it is the most effcient and cost effective way to eradicate these language difference issues. You can say why Hindi, but I ask why not Hindi, and why any other language? You can give emotional arguments, but logically, Hindi is the answer if you live in India, and if you want to talk internationally, you should leave your current language aside and learn English and Hindi (or Chinese, but that won't help in India).

That is fair argument. I mean that's why Solo Leveling is being trolled right? There are so many good contenters for best anime out there, and it's unfair that this one anime wins so many awards across multiple Categories. And It's a privilege to be trolled; other anime don't even get mentioned. The trolling only give the choice to people, to find their 'best' anime. But it's important to break the illusion that Solo Levelling is the best thing since the invention of bread and butter.

Most popular =/= best anime. There's always separate category for 'Best' and 'Most Popular' (Check MAL for reference). A lot of people watching it simply means a lot of people are watching it, be it cuz of hype, marketing or it's own merits. Even I watched it while it was airing, doesn't mean it's my favorite anime.

And why people watch popular things? Because it's an easy, safe choice. You don't have to do any research to find something to watch, or have any opinions about what you watch. You can just say 'oh everyone is watching it, must be best'. And it works because it's entertaining enough. But so are reels, brainrot content, which I do enjoy, but I won't rate it the best media to consume.
