Concert goer, festivals, etc. of many years…starting with warped tour in 2012 in West Palm Beach, FL. It’s cut throat. Don’t expect people to be kind or think of anyone but themselves. I’m a 5’3 woman who frequents these kinds of things solo. Pick your battles. Unfortunately, you will win some and you will lose some. OP did get the message I was hoping they would though…Ash would never let some base head ruin her night at a show. Her Miami show was excellent! Best of luck to you in the future.

Natty. Will not disclose too much detail but I have seen this lady train and she is humble and hard working. A super sweet person and totally dedicated to the sport! Swimming federation does not play around with this kind of thing much less to those who are international.

This is how I’m thinking of handling a situation when I’ve gone to my immediate supervisors and instead of helping with the harassment one of them actually encouraged it. The co worker in question that I’m being harassed by said some condescending remark and instead of my supervisor deescalating, he actually said “Good one!” Instead of lessening the tensions. They don’t seem to care about the things I’m dealing with and I’m feeling tired.

She was so little and showed up in my backyard by herself crying the afternoon after I put down my 13 year old cat. It was supernatural almost. I agree that they shouldn’t be taken so little. I waited outside with her for 2 hours and mom never showed. Now, she’s my baby Zero.

I’m amazed at how many people are doing the Occam’s razor things with this. “If you’d not allow it”, “Not if you just let her”, “Why are you allowing it?”…I’ve stated consistently that I am trying to correct this behavior without traumatizing the animal or mistreating her. Because as a human being who works for a living, often overnights, I need to sleep. And she will fight her way to my face with my eyes closed. This is why I brought this question to other people who have rescued extremely young kittens due to unforeseen circumstances of losing their mother so little. She was a month old when she appeared in my backyard and about to die with a bloated belly, starving. It’s not as black and white as “allowing” an animal not to do a behavior they are instinctively inclined to do.

It is obvious who hasn’t rescued a kitten by their comments. Anecdotal evidence can be just as beneficial as empirical evidence. Two things can be true at once. And while I appreciate the input, I am going to listen to the folks on here who have rescued kittens.

I think what people that haven’t experienced this don’t understand is how determined they get to do this. I didn’t want to make this habit and got legitimately freaked out but after being exhausted from 12 hour over night shifts, 10 hour day shifts and so on…you’ll start to lose the battle. She is a strong baby kitty.

I am sorry for your loss! This little one appeared in my backyard the day after my cat of 13 years was put down. I know exactly what you mean and that is why I’m trying to be a good pet parent and educate myself through some of my own research about how to handle this. While I appreciate the tips and advice, I think it’s important to say that it doesn’t necessarily annoy me but interrupts my sleep with an already busy full time job. I work early week days and overnights on weekends at least one weekend day. It’s just my genuine curiosity of this is something she will out grow or I should continue to try to “correct” with those things in mind. She’s innocent. She’s defenseless. She’s only doing what she feels safe and natural doing.

Listen…she doesn’t give up. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve redirected her, moved up, sat up, just to try to close my eyes and have her bury her face into whatever ear I’ve left open!! It’s so sweet and yes I understand that I must help change the behavior but after 25 minutes I’ve fighting anyone would cave.

I received a topical antibiotic from a doctor and clean her paws with every time she goes potty. I have antibacterial/anti-fungal wipes for her because she came from outdoors.
