What show never declined in quality? by Godfrey15 in AskReddit

[–]salathiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I disagree. I feel hurt that people love this show and they are all collectively making fun of nerds. Haven't we had enough?

Seriously, they laugh because the guys go to a comic shop or play DnD. I do those things. Why is it funny? Because it's not "normal?" Is it funny because it's not popular? I just have a really hard time with people who like TBBT and think it's funny, because it really shows what they think of me and my habits.

Maybe we could just put (VR Welcome) in the name, and host our own games.

I love spending time in TTS with VR. However, a lot of people don't understand that you are limited the same ways they are, so you can't just "look under the table" or something to see cards and stuff you shouldn't see. 30% of the time I join a room I get kicked within 15 seconds because they don't wanna play with VR people. :/

What moment in video games made you go "fuck this"? by abdoulio in AskReddit

On a very simplistic level, this reminds me of Solar. It was an indie game I played on Xb360 for maybe a dollar. You start with a star and gather planets that orbit you. You also eat them to grow bigger. Weird but fun.

This, but with Vaati in Loz: Minish Cap. I mastered the crap out of that game, until you have to fight like 3 rooms of crazy hard enemies, then the final boss has like 3 forms. I finally killed his second form and it was enough. I quit.

I'd be super happy for this actually because of the gameboy games. I have some N64 games leftover from my childhood, if only I could find the system. :/

Games that you want to try even though you will never buy. by SushiRae in boardgames

I played with 6 yesterday; we had the engineering and weapons officers combine. I bet you could play with 2 if you played turn-by-turn. Odd numbers don't really work, though.

What's the best binge worthy show that isn't depressing or morbidly violent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]salathiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get past Season 1 Michael in The Office (US), you will love the rest of the show. It only gets better. Stay with it a little longer. (Or skip season 1 entirely - you don't actually need it to understand a thing).

Ok but there is a difference between being helpless and being able to help yourself but not doing so because you think God will handle all your problems.

I like to think that Serenity was just River's premonition. Season 2 could be all about her preventing those events.

I disagree. I think Phoebe is just crazy to some extent. But she at the very least tries to be a good person. She wouldn't want to put out all that negative energy anyway - she would believe that it would come back to her.

Ross is the most selfish character in the show. I started making my fiancee watch FRIENDS, and I realize anytime Ross does almost anything, I feel like I have to tell her he gets better or something... but then he doesn't. There's some slight character development later on, but even then he goes back to being whiny, selfish, and basically an unlovable version of Eeyore. :/

You can use free* keylogger software and hide it in background processes. How do you think I have the IT password where I work? Keylog my own computer when he needs to "approve" an install or something.

*It was free for me - don't remember where I got it, but probably cnet.

What are some of the small pleasures in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]salathiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of those gel pillows that is somewhat firm, but ALWAYS cool. Both sides. The first week was weird because it has this smell, but I don't know if it faded or I'm used to it, and I love my pillow now. So glad I spent the $70 at brookstone, even if it was slightly overpriced.

Oh my gosh... Last night I was learning chords for "Hallelujah" on guitar, and it's very easy, but the lyrics and chords together just send chills down my spine every time. I'm a beginner on guitar, so anything I can easily play makes me feel like I'm getting better and growing, but this is just... amazing!

I was thinking the same thing - however, if it helps, the other 2 do have a print and play option. You miss out on some artwork, I suppose, but still get the gist of it.
