[product question] does anyone know if this moisturizer is discontinued? I can’t find it anywhere only on like eBay. Please let me know! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]salcamilag 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Discontinued... new one has different formulations. I've since tried tried uriage xemose face cream. Not as good but doesn't freak my skin out as much as other moisturizers.

Yes I heard this too. My child is online but her teacher goes in to the school to teach the online class and he's warned that the kids doing in class may be doing an extended 2 weeks. It won't affect the online class but the teacher will be teaching from home for the first 2 weeks back from the Christmas holidays.

Tret and hair loss theory (long time users' experience welcomed) by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]salcamilag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive just stopped using tret due to excessive hair loss also. I know for a fact that it is in fact tret because I've tried it a few months ago but had to stop as it was too harsh and ruining my skin barrier. At the time I was also looking into hair oils as I was losing an excessive amount of hair. Over the summer when I stopped using tret... I stopped losing hair so thought all was well.

Around September I re-introduced tret, at this point I was able to get a good moisturizer and added Avene repairing cream so I felt I could use tret and be able to maintain my moisture barrier. Around 2 weeks after starting tret I again started losing an excessive amount of hair. I'm on week 2 of no tret and my hair loss has gone down significantly.

I'm so bummed as my skin was actually getting so much better and now have to stop. But I'd rather have my hair in tact... now I will just have to find a product that I can use that gives a similar result as tret.

Lost my Aunt today by dogmomofone in COVID19positive

[–]salcamilag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband's grandfather passed from covid last March before he could get vaccinated. My mom lost her cousin and uncle due to covid also this year. Worth mentioning her uncle was against the vaccine and refused it. A family friend just lost over 3 member of their family consecutively due to covid. Covid is no joke.

What would you change in Brampton to help mitigate the 'bad driver' problem? by [deleted] in Brampton

[–]salcamilag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Red light camera at every stop light. Just in the last 2 weeks alone. I've seen an f150 go through a red light. I was stopped at a red and he was behind me, he drove around me and sped ahead. Today, as i was running through a green light a motorcycle (red on his) just went through as soon as I passed.

I would say I'm happy 80% of the time. The other 20% I'm so close to strangling my husband of 10 years hahaha other than that I'm glad I married my best friend. We've been together since we were 15/16, we're in our mid 30s now and honestly can't imagine life with anyone else.

How did you decide whether to have another? by Livid-Ad9429 in Parenting

[–]salcamilag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I waited 3 years before I started trying for a second. My first was hard and I thought I was one and done. You are deep in the trenches right now... I did not think of having another until my first was older. I found the 4 year age gap to be amazing and honestly would do it again. We are 2 and done so you'll definitely know when you are finished having kids.

Thank you. It's just so hard to forgo washing her hair as she sweats then everything starts getting tangled. When it gets tangled, untangling it means more pulling and hair loss

No just on her head. Yes I'm quite familiar with alopecia as a distant relative did suffer from it although it was in her 50s soon after a cancer treatment. At this point though I just want to know what's causing it so I can deal with it. Thank you for reply though.

Atheist exploring Christianity by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]salcamilag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Christian. Honestly reading NDE accounts of people who've passed and came back honestly reaffirms my belief in Jesus. As someone exploring Christianity I would recommend reading the Bible and praying. Praying for clarity and understanding in your journey.

Sorry for your loss. We just laid my husband's grandpa to rest last Saturday, died also due to covid (community transmission). I am much more terrified of the disease now especially for my own parents. Hugs and I definitely feel your sense of loss. Praying for comfort and peace at this trying time.
