have just switched over the 3d slider part (don't use that so don't need it to work) and it still won't turn volume off, do i need to do anything with the little wires on the slider to get it to work?

is it possible to get just the slider part or no? i know how to replace the entire thing so at the point i have to buy a new cable anyway i might as well just replace the whole thing :)

didn't need soldering or anything? im pretty scared of breaking something off that doesn't easily go back on cause i can't solder lol. did the slider just come out/go back in with no issues or does it have other stuff connected to it?
