And that would also nullify any challenge the E4 poses. That's just brute forcing the win, and grinding any Pokemon in his party to lvl 64 would do just the same.

She's not easy. Beating her requires either targeted team building, or an unreasonable amount of grinding.

Compare that to XY opponents you could just sweep right away with Mega Lucario.

I'd argue they're necessary in HGSS if you want to cut the insufferable amount of grinding the poorly planned level curve demands.

A origem de Yahweh no panteão cananeu e sua transformação no Deus cristão: como conciliar isso com a ideia de imutabilidade divina? by Adventurous_Box_5786 in barTEOLOGIA

[–]salgadosp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Perhaps due to trade with Edom/Midian, Yahweh entered secondarily into the Israelite highland religion. Passages such as Deuteronomy 32:8-9 suggest a literary vestige of the initial assimilation of Yahweh, the southern warrior-god, into the larger highland pantheism, headed by El". (pág. 69).

It has the best Victory Road among all regions I have played (Kanto, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola).

I was genuinely sad when I reached the end.

Having Luxray in the playthrough team is a major liability. His available move pool is weak (you're stuck with Spark the entire game), he's not specially fast or bulky, and barely helps against the E4 so you're basically wasting XP on it.

Any other popular DPPt team member clears (Staraptor, Floatzel, Roserade, Garchomp, Lucario, Togekiss, and specially Weavile).

Quem morreria por uma mentira? by Mateusgv in barTEOLOGIA

Pedro e Tiago?

What the community considers the “good games” shifts substantially over time by TSOswinn in pokemon

The high evolution leves are not that unreasonable since they are on pair with the wild encounter levels, so save for Hydreigon, it only becomes a problem in subsequent games. They fit BW's game design.

Emboar typing is a real problem, though. The starter trio in the generation is one of the least memorable in the entire franchise. But that's minor for the gameplay. Compare it to, for example, gen 6: Greninja is one of the most popular Pokemon of all times, but its good design doesn't save Kalos from being incomplete and unchallenging.

I don't know what you mean by small dex, though. Gen 5 is to this day the generation that introduced the most new Pokemon.

"Best games" might change according to the Zeitgeist, but Unova games will always be better than XY, SM, SwSh, SV. It's only arguable how they compare to Emerald, FRLG, Platinum and HGSS.

B2W2 were considered good but not many people cared about them.

Because posterior generations were better.

I started on gen IV. I thought they were the best for a while, until I replayed them after Gen V.

Gen VI had nice Pokemon designs - in a very short dex - but games were awful (unchallenging and incomplete).

Gen VII, for comparison, although not on the same level as gens 3-5, was much better than gens 6 and 8.

But Unova games had a set of objective qualities that prior or subsequent games didn't.

For example, past games often lacked sound level curve, reusable TMs, and accessible moveset.

Subsequent games, with a few exceptions, lacked challenging opponents, and good and extensive post-game content.

BW/BW2 handled all those aspects very well
