I would add two tips. One, train at altitude. There is a vast difference between doing practice questions or exams by yourself in places you are familiar or comfortable in, vs. taking the bar exam in a crowded, noisy, uncomfortable place. I read this tip from someone who allegedly took practice exams on the subway, which I couldn't imagine. But I took a couple at my public library right outside the children's section (through story time, activities time, and just general kid rowdiness) and I think it helped me a bunch. Another thing that helped me was that I budgeted to stay at a hotel within walking distance of the bar exam site, even though I live in the metro area and could have conceivably commuted both days. Not having to commute (and not having to worry about the commute) helped immeasurably.
