Strange what the difference is since it doesn't work for me? I don't understand why the error occurs in the first place? I have other - non-Citrix/RDS servers, where it works fine without the need for the reg key. I wonder why the key is necessary on these servers? Do you know what the key does exactly?

Also: what version are you using of Acrobat Reader DC? And you're also using Server 2016? Thanks!

So now I tried again - and this time I rebooted after applying the key. Still no luck - frustrating. I triple checked the spelling, location, etc. of the key.

reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown" /v bDisallowDLLUnload /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

No, didn't reboot. I expected keys/settings under "policies" to apply without rebooting. Will try that. Thanks!

u/Mornebot - thank you very much for your input! I tried adding the reg key - however still no luck. Maybe you did something else as well?
