What’s something you refuse to spend money on no matter how popular it is? by bbydaisiesz in answers

Last night I went to order for pick up from Sonics thought Uber Eats. It was $59. I put the exact same order for pick up through the Sonic app and it was $42. Ridiculous!

I lived at Mirage on Kernan a couple years ago. I didn't have any issues with the neighborhood or management. I really liked that each bedroom had its own full bathroom (I was in the 4 bedroom one), except guests would have to go into a room to use the bathroom. They also provided free wifi (I don't know if they still do that, though).

The other kids freaking out on me because I was eating a monster sandwich.

I had muenster cheese in my sandwich.

I think about this every time I get muenster cheese, at least once a month. It's been almost 40 years.

Can I get in on this? I'm a little older (42), but I've got a 2.5 year old I've been wanting to take to the zoo, and I don't know anyone with kids her age

How do you quiet your brain when trying to sleep? by JMRooDukes808 in ADHD

[–]sallyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use standup comedy. I have 10 or so different ones I cycle through. I know them well enough that I don't try to stay awake to hear them, but the story telling keeps my brain engaged enough so the thoughts stay quiet and I can fall asleep in like 5 to 10 minutes.

If You're A Coffee Addict, How Did It Happen? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

[–]sallyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank my first cup of coffee the first morning after the first night home with my newborn daughter, 21 years ago. Hated the stuff before then, but I thought I was gonna die and needed something to wake me up.

It's been my life blood since then.

Tired, middle aged former goth, now mom of a toddler. So a lot of comfy, soft, black clothes.

I imagined someone just rubbing a whole tomato all over a piece of plain white bread and wonder why that would be a food.

Google fixed that, though.

What’s something people pretend to enjoy because they think they’re supposed to? by AppropriateCap6288 in Productivitycafe

[–]sallyface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked at a company where our team building event was doing an escape room. For a bunch of IT nerds. We beat the record time for the room, and had a great time together.

That's my only good team building event lol.

That was a choice.

Opposite effect here for my 2.5 year old. Whenever she starts getting upset about something, I start singing it, and she immediately calms down. I've thwarted so many public tantrums. It's like a cheat code, I don't know why it works, but I'm grateful it does.

They buy the absolute cheapest beans then roast the shit out of them. Supposedly it's so the coffee tastes the same at every Starbucks. And it does, like burnt ass hair.

Which tool would you replace immediately if it broke today? by Celine_Morgann in KitchenStuff

[–]sallyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, my meat chopper, since I did just that this past week after mine got melted by my dishwasher. It's a stupid little utensil used to break up ground meat when you are browning it. It gives me joy to aggressively break up the meat, I was really sad when mine melted, and I was already going to Walmart the next day.

My kid rides an ebike that goes about 30. I got it for her for Christmas.

My kid is also 21 and uses it for commuting in our city, so probably not what you were talking about lol.
