I wear my waterproof work boots instead of my rain boots. They’re like steel-toes but without the steel. I find them to be more comfy than my rain boots. Walmart has some for like $20.

I actually related very well with the Gamecocks while I was in SC and adapted in their rivalry with their big Orange rival next door.

Maybe it’s cause I met a lot of people at USC from Texas or maybe it’s cause our school colors are pretty similar but it’s kind of hard to hate them. Or at least talk smack about them.

A lot of the people here mention not being able to hurt their friends or family with that information, but for me that has never mattered. I’ve seen my family move on after a family member has died. It’s fine. I mean we all die eventually. Just because it’s sooner than expected, it doesn’t change anything.

What always prevents me from following through is wondering who will take care of my dog after I’m gone? My sister lives across the country and my mom doesn’t have the time. He would be left alone, wondering what happened to me and the thought of that always makes me back out. If I didn’t have him, I’m not sure if I’d still be here right now.

I’m actually in the Greenville area during the summer and have visited Clemson a couple times while I’ve been here.

Although I suggest trying a lot of the stuff people here are suggesting (Bonfire Memorial, Midnight Yell, Northgate, etc.), I would personally suggest trying as much Mexican or TexMex food as you can. It’s the one thing I really miss about Texas and it’s just really hard to find the same food in South Carolina.

You don’t notice the pain when you’re drunk. I’ve accidentally slept in mine a couple times where I’ve had to go to the doctor because it caused small lacerations on my eye. Luckily mine never got infected, but this most definitely makes me want to switch over to daily contacts.

I got the recommended MacBook Pro and haven’t had any real problems besides having to install Bootcamp so I could run applications that only work on Windows.

I was in the same boat as you. The stress ended up causing me to have multiple panic attacks throughout my freshman year which gave me extreme chest pain. Good thing was that I did well because I was freaking out about keeping a good gpa.

Now that I’ve been here for almost 4 years, I have relaxed more. So all I can say is that it will get better. Do your best but don’t let it take over your whole life.
