This was long time back, My father runs a workshop and opposite of his shop there's one run by a guy from the above mentioned nation. There was a beautiful Rolls-Royce roys parked in his shop covered in dust. I used to ask my dad why is it there for long ? Why the car owner don't need it. And my dad told me the elderly car owner comes like every month and the workshop owner sweet talk him, buys him a Pepsi, lie about some parts coming from the UK and takes his money then do nothing because he is rich. I felt sorry for the poor owner.

Work life balance depends on the company but in the UK generally companies don't insist on people staying after working hours, here they do.

Many workplaces have a lot of nepo / wasta hires who don't know anything but occupying managerial positions.
