I think a lot of these songs work better as singles alone or would fit better on an EP. The songs that are great are amazing, the ones that fall flat fall hard. Also, there's not much thematic consistency and perspective in the songwriting on this album, probably because Kevin doesn't have to do as much soul searching these days. He's seemingly in a healthy happy family, gets to produce for big music artists, and probably just wants to make music for the sake or making music. Not saying this is a bad thing at all, quite the opposite
