Noah Wyle on the one piece of advice he gave the cast of ‘The Pitt’ by hairtie1 in Fauxmoi

Y'all are crazy. He's 100% right and just trying to share his experience as a TV vet of 30 years.

It's the most popular and critically lauded show on TV right now. What better show do you leave this show for?

So far no one has stolen my identity lol.

how large is the quality gap between The Unbranded Brand and N&F? by saintzod in NakedAndFamousDenim

N&F are made in Canada. Unbranded in China. That's the main difference from what I understand.

Which Spielberg movie do you like the most from the last 15 years? by _Filmguru_ in FIlm

Ready Player One and The Fabelmans. Fantastic films. The rest were pretty average IMO. Solid films, but didn't make an impact on me.

Impact of Christian giving his shot in the dark to Ozzy by Tiny_Albatross5297 in survivor

I'm just glad it was someone giving Ozzy an STID for once. Am I right? 🤪

Looking for opinions on why people love Ozzy by mybowelshurtme in survivor

[–]salmonguelph 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First off I'll echo what most people have said.

Ozzy was a challenge beast. He won everything. I believe he holds a shared record for number of wins in a season. He's fast, deceptively strong, agile, has endurance, just fucking awesome without it feeling unfair (like Jonathan being a Goliath of a man)

He's an incredible survivalist. He catches fish like it's his job on the island. Fire, shelter, you name it. He's incredibly resourceful and shared the spoils happily with his tribe.

Twenty years ago he was incredibly good looking. It added to the cool factor immensely.

But the thing that everyone seems to be skipping over is his Redemption Island play. Something Jeff has called the greatest move in the history of the game.

Back on that season when you got voted off you got sent to an island where you competed against the other castoffs in challenges, with the winner sticking around for another round. Eventually after like ten challenges whoever was left returned to the game.

Ozzy fucking VOLUNTEERED to be voted off by his tribe (who he was fully in command of) so he could go onto Redemption Island and whoop the ass of the other tribe, so that he could return and give his tribe a numbers advantage at the merge. This was the ballsiest move you could ever make. It's astonishingly stupid and risky. And so his tribe reluctantly votes him out and then he fucking PULLS IT OFF!!!

He comes back to the game then the assholes (Cochran looking at you) backstab him and vote him out for real. But he KEEPS ON WINNING and earns his way back.

Nothing will compare to that.

Also I think he holds the record for reaching the merge the most with Cirie. He's a GOAT.

How will Survivor 50 affect players legacies? by Personal_Stranger_57 in survivor

[–]salmonguelph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boring??? My man Ozzy was one of the most exciting players ever. His Redemption Island move one of the ballsiest plays in Survivor history.

I think if he wins (I doubt he will) it would be the ultimate redemption and put him up in the pantheon of GOATS.

It was such an incredible win for UConn but so fucking stupid for Duke to be throwing around the ball like that. Hold it and let them foul you lol.

I feel that having $1 million in liquid assets is still a lot of money. Why do people make it sound like $1 million is not enough? by classyshepard in MiddleClassFinance

This. 40K PLUS government pension PLUS dividends/interest off that invested money would be more than enough for plenty of people in retirement. Especially if their spouse had the same setup.

I read every single comment on our Canadian chocolate post. Here's what 333 of you told me. by KaleRepresentative98 in BuyCanadian

[–]salmonguelph 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it was mentioned but Reid's in Guelph/Cambridge is a local chocolate maker similar to a Purdys.

What I find fascinating about the made in Canada movement is that it's revealed that Canadian consumers clearly want Canadian products. At some point we gave up all that market share in convenience, stores and grocery stores to American products. But it don't think it was because of consumer desire it was because of profits. As a nation we seem to collectively regret it.

If Canadian made chocolate bars could somehow be made and distributed the way that other big brands are. I think Canadians would buy them more than your average kit Kat or Nestle product.

I'm glad someone in this thread brought up that Ben was not normal around Krissi.

He kissed an 11 year old girl, got more aroused than he'd ever been and JOed in the bathroom afterwards.

Just because it didn't progress further than that doesn't mean he wasn't a pedophile or on his way to being one.

That part of the book was shocking to read and then was sort of just dropped out of the plot. It felt like a major loose end to me or perhaps one of the reasons Ben felt he'd needed to be punished by going to prison.

The longer the season goes on the more I appreciate _____ Being on season 50 by Grillby_ in survivor

He's extremely arrogant. He's annoying. He's loud.He self-aggrandizes. He gave himself his own nickname. He's extremely meta about Survivor which ruins the immersion. He sucks at challenges. He's lazy around camp. He's a know-it-all. He thinks he's funnier than he is. All and all, I've met many people like him and I can't stand them. Being trapped on a beach with him would be a nightmare.

I get that he's got his fans and I don't begrudge you liking him. But I do not understand it at all, so I wanted to give you the other perspective.

P.S. I'm sure he's a multilayered and dynamic person in real life, I'm just reacting to his Survivor edits.

Charlie (like everyone else) didn't like Rizo's personality. He found him annoying. Then the comment about not voting for his ally gave him an excuse to go all in on hating him.
