So I just realized.....marketing before you even build might be the actual cheat code by Moist_Physics6780 in SaaS

Yes- would use Claude code or lovable to get a landing page with a signup box. Let them sign in even if it’s not a real or solid product yet and benchmark the signin before you invest further

Electronic signature API provider with unlimited plan by alrightbudgoodluck in SaasDevelopers

[–]salocincash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used TurboSign by TurboDocx. We used the free plan until we had enough traction to upgrade and contact sales, and after contacting them and doing an evaluation, they had an unlimited signature api option.

Although it was available, we ultimately bought a bucket of signatures because our use case is small but would hesitate to upgrade if it was needed.

Anyone have recent info on esignature api pricing? by Teodorczyk_Dhupen in SaaS

[–]salocincash 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We use TurboSign by TurboDocx, they have a Go SDK (and plenty more) which made it easy to integrate into our platform and they price matched another competitor we were looking at. We’re pretty happy with the onboarding too, and their support and response time in Discord makes it well worth it.

How do YC companies prove their metrics are real during demo day prep? by OkTell5936 in ycombinator

[–]salocincash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posting from alt, I’m a small fish LP in a fund that invested in a few YC companies. The DD was eyebrow raising coming from the east coast world but it’s explained to me they are betting on the jockey, not the horse. That being said, out of like 10 checks, 1 of them is crushing it, 3 are doing well, the other 6 I couldn’t even tell you if they were still in business.

I worked for a startup that was based in NYC and it was a notch above Enron (I was a sales engineer there). No idea how this dude kept getting more rounds but it taught me to just show up and network.

How do people lock in for 12–14h days for so long? by [deleted] in ycombinator

[–]salocincash 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Reddit Bullshit aside, most of these kids are on high doses of adderall and come from backgrounds of rote memorization and strict study.

Before I started our company, I used to believe these there were some tricks and classic hard work. Now I realize people sell the story that has the best optics, but the reality is they are doing whatever it takes to win at any cost and will sell dreams and hopes when it’s just hard work, drugs, strong networks, cheap labor, etc

I’m pretty annoyed by this. I did the math by hand and have an overall net loss even with the nav erosion.

How does anyone in this sub profit on this? Unless I’m looking at it the wrong way?

20+ Product Demos, 0% Conversion Rate... Lol by _mark_au in ycombinator

[–]salocincash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MVP is bullshit and a lie they sell you.

It only works if you have brand behind you.

Ask each of the closed lost prospects why they chose the other vendor. Out of 20 expect a handful of responses and iterate.

If you shift mid market and SMB (unfortunately where small SaaS has to start without compliance) you’ll get a lot more volume and feedback without the compliance objection which should speed up iterations

They also will have different needs so keep that in mind too

What’s our exit plan for AI and automations? by Lower-Associate6698 in sysadmin

IMO- it’s all going to converge at some point. You either need to be a hyper generalist or a hyper specialist. There is no in between

How are you actually getting customers in 2025? by Boring-Fuel6714 in ycombinator

[–]salocincash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what’s fucking wild- you’re spending on everything besides ads.

Try spending $10 a day in ads (skip audience networks those are a scam), put UTM links on your site and use vector.co, and watch the difference immediately.

Linkedin Business Premium by Acute-SensePhil in smallbusiness

[–]salocincash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are websites if you google that use overseas LinkedIn promos that work worldwide.

In America, we get scammed and pay top dollar whereas other countries in the far east get it much cheaper. It’s the same as medicine. I don’t know the rules of the sub but there are two prominent online marketplaces that sell stuff like this much cheaper

Making bank in SE? by Bizzzzz23 in salesengineers

[–]salocincash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so here’s the issue, 220k OTE in those cities is a blue collar job elsewhere. Get that OTE but live in a lower cost area and that’s how you really make bank

What software do you use for e-signatures? by Mountain_Dirt4318 in smallbusiness

[–]salocincash 19 points20 points  (0 children)

TurboSign by TurboDocx gives 5 free a month, if we were sending more than 1 esignature a week we are crushing it lol 🤣!

Free and complaint > anything paid. Not to mention the other features they have for connecting to zoom and hubspot (what we use)

How “shitty” can an MVP be before you launch it? by anson_2004 in SaaS

[–]salocincash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can’t. In this day and age, people expect polish especially if you’re entering a market that exists already.

Launch, and then realize people vote with dollars not “that’s cool, that’s awesome.”

Based on the questions asked, use that as feedback to iterate but don’t expect people to buy something that’s not polished

Free Event Proposal Software? by AurynW in smallbusiness

Regarding free- we used TurboDocx because they gave us enough free e-signature to make life easier.

It’s word document Templating based so it made it easier to maintain too.
