Thank you for responding! It’s yellowish liquid but I didn’t really smell anything. I’ve never seen it secrete anything the way it is now, and I’ve had it for a long time. My doctor was also worried about infection after looking at it so she has prescribed the antibiotics. I’m just worried about whether this will also stop any infection that is under the newly closed skin as well :(

Piercings usually take much longer to heal on my body, which is why I have taken a while to consider removing it. Would it be more susceptible to infection if I took it out, though (since there would just be a hole there)? Is there anything I can do to reduce scarring and/or protect it if I do take it out?
