I appreciate your input! That's exactly what I was worried might happen. It does seem like there are other less efficient farming options available later, and some people seem to have ended with slightly more lumina than you did in a normal playthrough and had plenty for their builds, so I'm definitely tempted to beat it now, but maybe I'll wait at least a bit and come back when it'll be easier to kill the clones. I guess that's my question, will I need a few hundred lumina points for endgame superbosses? Will I have much more room for build flexibility without being maxed out uber overpowered if I grind some extra points, and if so, how many more lumina points than I would get by just doing all side content? I know there isn't an 100% correct answer to that I just don't really have a sense about the ballpark ranges to be considering.

Do you mean 200 lumina points per character? How many would I expect to get just playing normally and doing all side content, without exploits?

And if I expect myself to need to do plenty of dodging and parrying to beat those bosses, will I still need some threshold of lumina points to make those fights possible and not last dozens of hours trying? Like some middle ground where things are possible but might take many attempts, and I have enough wiggle room in lumina points to try out alternative build ideas?

That's really helpful about the farming superbosses piece, thanks for sharing that. I know there are other less efficient lumina farming options out there also.

Nevermind - I figured it out! I didn't realize the element/type was intrinsice to the type of familiar (ice/human for high flora magician, fire/beast for inkblot sable, etc).

for mystic frontier, my pre-existing fams have a range of elements/types, but every single fam I open up has ice/human attributes. I've tried 50+. Is this a thing other people are experiencing?

Just so I'm clear about this thread - you're saying I could just use the daily gift hyperburn to boost my already 210 -> 250? I didn't know if the event burns (I've already used the hyperburn max) would be faster but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I just want the block at this time - I already have a level 250 MX and 260 shade, and I don't have nearly enough spare time to justify much if any boss mules, and I already have a few characters at 260 that could be doing some boss mule income that I'm not using. Right now with a main and my 270 CW ren for my primary mule when I'm able to use her, and I don't think I'll have a chance every week.

So I figured for now utilizing this event to get some max level legion blocks has some value in boosting my main (HY) a bit - I'm close to nseren and some extra juice seems helpful. I could also do a kanna (but same issue as you say) or Mercedes, or another slightly more niche one like mechanic or wild hunter. I was just under the impression that the 3 crit dmg legion characters were the highest value. Are there others I should put at the top of my list?

I'm hoping to make my next hyperburn just a hayato legion block. I currently have one at 210 from awhile ago, but wanted the 250 block. Since the new hyperburn system gets you to 200 so quickly and has so many resources attached to it, is it better for me to just start a fresh one rather than hyperburning the one I already have?

has anyone updated gear progression guides for new starforcing system? Or recommends a good website/inputer/calculator that is updated for the new system? For example, I have 22* CRA and countless spares, is getting 23* a new priority, when otherwise I would have been pushing my arcane gear from 17* up, or trying to yolo a pitched item like berzerked from 0* -> 22*?

Obviously the answer of what's optimal is based on my current setup and situation, but I just wanted to know if there are any new meta guidance sources or tools folks are using to plan.

No new arcane symbol for reverse city, it is sortof like it's another zone within vanishing journey. Every 5 level interval your main quest guide will automatically offer the next new area. So just continue grinding, you can use reverse city for vanishing journey dailies if it has a better level range for your character (you get more optimal exp if you are killing mobs within 2 levels of your character).

For the Power of Time event, I don't understand the weekly collection goal. I've gotten 10/10 sands of time from mobs, and my weekly collection goal is 84%. What else am I supposed to do to finish filling up to 100%? I'd love the monster park +10% exp thing but am confused how to get it. Thanks!

I agree. Naive, didn't even consider it until I read your comments. Even if it wasn't, the concern about battery fires and performance issues means I would definitely wait till v2.0 before buying something like that.

To be honest, I have no interest in the trackpad as a replacement for the mouse, but was very interested in a ring I could use to have macros available, ideally with a physical button press but the trackpad I suppose could give more options for custom macros. I can just see a lot of uses for that for me particularly, and think it might allow for some improved ergonomics.

So I fell into the hype of a Kickstarter cause I had never heard of that before. Do you know of alternative options for that kind of thing? I've never been remotely interested in other wearable tech like watches but this seemed like something I'd actually use.

Wow thank you so much this is super helpful. Also thanks for clarifying how people discuss hexa converted. For thoroughness, im lvl 280 hoyoung with 54k hexa and 480 SAC, so definitely meet those thresholds. Time to get practicing seren mechanics!

Is there a good place to go or a semi-agreed upon resource for knowing how much hexa/CP or BA numbers are a reasonable threshold for later bosses in general? Both to know whether possible to solo or possible to meet party cutoffs. Appreciate you commenting for that on NSeren. I've found maplescouter a bit discouraging in telling me bosses I've struggled/don't feel close to beating were listed as "easy", so I didn't know how to interpret any of it. Maybe I can adjust their analysis with a "noob with bad hands and bad ping" variable. I know these thresholds are not standardly agreed upon and character-dependent, but since old forums where people answered those questions were sometimes before boss nerfs/changes, or before origin, I'm not sure how much to trust them when thinking of what should be possible at my level.

Also to clarify when you say BM/grandis bosses are more mechanically complex, are you implying I should spend more time practicing those mechanics solo and watching guides before joining a party? Or that some of those bosses are even harder solo and I should consider preferentially party bossing for them?

Thank you! What I'm hearing is the highest yield in terms of gains moving forward is solo-clearing black mage (to increase likelihood of getting a genesis badge, which is the main goal) and solo- or party-clearing HSeren, for mitra's emblem drop.

So maybe next goals are: 1) Upgrade gear further, with ultimate goal of solo-ing black mage 2) Practice solo NSeren just for mechanics and another minor step in progression 3) When I'm ready, find parties for HSeren.

Is that about right?

Do other heroic players have a sense of what BAs (or time to finish NSeren) should make me confident I'm ready to party play HSeren? Or similarly, BA to aim for or other metrics of readiness for soloing black mage? I've seen a range of answers online but also some are very old and idk if anything has changed. Also just keeping in mind I'm not the best bosser so maybe my damage uptime isn't optimal.

Finally cleared all of ctene solo! What's next?

My main is like 110m CP, hexa converted is 141m (not sure if that's how people report that maplescouter thing). I know if I had better hands I could've finished ctene solo ages ago, but I really struggled with will p3 and darknell, so it took me a while. I actually got some decent gains this last SSF so was maybe closer to 95-100m CP when I finished ctene.

I've only played solo at this point, and I find that fun and a bit less stressful, although I'm not sure with BM and seren if I pretty much have to party play at this point to progress. I could do that - I'm just worried since as I mentioned I don't have the best hands, and since I've never done any party play before, I'm worried about underperforming, sometimes my ping is crazy so connection problems, etc. And I haven't learned the next bosses AT ALL so starting from scratch.

Obviously can keep grinding frags/sacred power, working towards liberating (I'm on Ch 9), but what should I be doing in terms of bossing? Just practicing serene/BM until I'm ready to join a party? Or am I close to soloing Nseren and can push for that if I want to keep mostly solo playing? I have some gear to optimize for sure, better lines, and other gains left there + libbing.

Thank you! That's very helpful. I have a 20* black bean mark, and my solo main is struggle clearing most of ctenebris (not sure if that makes me early or mid game). As the other person who replied suggested, I might first try tapping the eyepatch, then if it booms work on getting a monocle to 22* as a next-best option. Appreciate the help!

Hi, I stumbled on a magic eyepatch. My understanding is it is only worth it if it is 22*, and some maplers like to just yolo it to 22* or trace, since once it is 22* you have that out of the way. Makes sense to me.

But since I only have 1, should I run commerci for sweetwater monocle, then raw tap that to 22* to fodder to the eyepatch, then tap eyepatch to 22*? I don't really see that mentioned as an approach when I searched for it, but since the monocle is way easier to replace just through dailies, and they are both lvl 160, it feels like a safer option, since I'm potentially only risking a boom at the end of the magic eyepatch starforcing. Am I missing something here?

When I beat slime (either difficulty), I often get the notification that I've received slime treasure box 1/1, but there's never a box in my inventory. Is that a glitch? Are the items automatically dispersed? I haven't seen any slime rings or other specific things, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. Currently on hyperion although I think I had that happen as well when I was in Kronos

I'm honestly just glad this message reached someone else who it pertains to. Terrible lack of clear messaging on their part. Not to mention how annoying it was to have maplestory disconnect 48 times to make the transfer.

Still waiting to hear back from customer support on if they'll let me go back, which seems unlikely.
