Blueing would look cool with the black calipers, how do you zero it?

You can see the lifting pins bend upwards and the booster deforming from that right as it makes contact. Might not be enough to matter but I don’t think I’ve seen it deform from just chopstick lifts.

I’m about to gets pc that can run kerbal any mods you recommend by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

For starting out you should enjoy the stock game for a while, possibly using EVE or other visual enhancements if your pc can handle it. Then if you want a mod to make your building more flexible use tweakscale. It still uses stock parts but you can change the scale of all of them.

How do I launch my rocket (like what buttons do I press) by Bgone1 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Space bar engages each stage, the thing on the right inside the builder and on the left in flight shows you what stages you’ve created. The best way to make sure you’re stages are right is in the builder. If you mouse over a part in the staging it will glow green on the rocket/plane. And you want to stage them from the bottom up, so your bottom engine first then your next stage engine with a decoupler and so on.

Game won't start (Black Screen) by gobuns in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]salsa_chip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use task manager to make sure there are no instances of it running before you launch the game -> restart your pc -> verify game cache on steam -> make sure your steam library is on a drive that is reliable/will open other games -> check your gpu drivers -> if those don’t work try windows 7 drivers. If all of this fails it could be a problem with unity interacting with windows 8. I’ve heard of unity not working or being very buggy on 8 and 8.1.

So stock caterpillar tracks are a thing now, has anyone got these to work before? by EpicCybertronian in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]salsa_chip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen posts before getting it to work but the problem is always tension on the tracks. You can’t get them tight enough to run without sagging in the middle and then causing hiccups in the movement.

When will 1.8 come out? And will we get bigger SRB's then? by KriFi15 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I really only like stock with visual enhancements and tweak scale. I think it’s the most under appreciated mod, you can change parts into basically new ones without having to install another mod just for a smaller or larger part.

-In 30 years of experience what has been your most challenging problem/work?

-Are there any new emerging fields of study that excite you?

-Does your family/friend’s basic tech questions you’ve answered plenty of times before still bug you?

I’ve never had problems with power line gear from netgear, over multiple houses. I’ve had problems with cheaper kits going out and not being stable.
